Russia and China have been friendenemies for a very long time.  It is similar to the relationship that Turkey has with NATO, a matter of convenience.  China, like Western Europe, no doubt looks at Russia as a cow to milk.  Putin unlike the West isn't stupid enough to get too dependent on China or trust them.  Putin also isn't stupid enough to not have known the geo political ramifications of invading Ukraine.  He has been preparing for it by building a network of trading partners including India, an enemy of China because of proximity.  

The Globalists are idiots.  They have allowed themselves to be dependent on China.  China is the most nationalistic country in the world at the moment and has a form of nationalism tied to race.  They want no part of the Globalists insanity of infinitely malleable humans.  I can think of no other country in history that resembles the Nazis more than China does today.  The Globalists made the same mistake with Hitler.  They assumed if they appeared non threatening and continued to trade with Germany that Hitler would see no reason to carry out his plans of world domination.  It may actually work to some degree with China.  If China doesn't feel threatened it may take Taiwan and stop military aggression.   The difference is that China already dominates manufacturing and owns the West.  Why invade something you already own.   The Globalist strategy is the direct opposite of MAD in that mutually assured destruction is now made as defenseless.

I would certainly like to avoid WWIII.  The Globalists have a lot invested in their theory that you can conquer through interdependent trade networks.  Russia was the most important hold out because it wants to maintain its independence.  It is more their enemy than China.  I actually hope their strategy works.

Keep in mind that Trump never intended to stop trade with China.  A crippled China is probably more dangerous than the one we have now.  The difference between his policies and those of the Globalists is that he understood the intangible importance of respect.  It is something central to the eastern ethos.  What is often called saving face.  The Chinese will never respect the degenerates that run Globalism.  And the globalists respect no one and nothing.  They are the kind of people that have no gratitude or respect for anything or any one.  They are foolish materialists in a world where abstract reality defines civilization.  They couldn't understand that Hitler was a "spiritualist" despite his strong denial of that.  He was an artist and almost effeminate in his sensitivities.  He saw himself as the "mother" of the German race to be reborn through him.  While he denounced cultism the religion of nature and occultism was always part of the Nazi party.  Everyone not German genetically a predator that threatens his newborn infant German race. In a way Chinese nationalism is very similar.  It shares the genetic basis for world domination and its understanding of genetics as "spiritual" as scientific.  Trump is not a naturalist and probably wouldn't understand it if you explained it to him.  The closest he has ever come to natural philosophy was probably classes he took that he had little interest in.  What he understands is the abstract reality that makes civilization possible.  The Globalist understands that about as well as Trump understands their philosophical origins.

If it was not for nuclear weapons I would lean towards forgetting about Russia and get prepared to stop China before it gets any stronger as should have been done with Hitler.  Unfortunately the Globalist plan which we are unavoidably committed to by history means we have to deal with Russia as a barrier to that plan.  The idea is to weaken Russia so it cannot be a player in geopolitics.  Russia is a spoiler in their plans.  Even if we are committed to their plans for historic reasons I would prefer to have Trump back because he seems more competent than the people at the EU and the Globalists in general.  Despite being an egotist he isn't emotionally committed to their egotistical sense of righteousness concerning their place in history.  As dirty harry put it "a man has to know his limitations".  The globalists simply make too many mistakes that their hubris doesn't allow them to correct.  They are elitists and elitists are always dangerous.  Trump is populist which by definition makes him an anti elitist.  He isn't embedded in a dystopian intellectual paradigm.

A not implausible scenario. The issues the US and western democratic nations face are all manufactured issues, Climate change, Putin's war, mass migration, Racism, rising crime rates, drug overdoses, sexual orientation/gender dysphoria, pandemics, right-wing extremism, misinformation, disinformation and whatever else they can think up.

As David Horowitz said, "The issues are not the issue. The issue is the revolution."

Your plausible scenario would be deemed a conspiracy theory though.

Yes, with Barney Fife running our foreign policy, it might be an ideal time for China to attack, if their Navy were built up in time.

But it isn't. They have only one modern aircraft carrier, and from the design - harkening back to the early Japanese aircraft carriers of WWII, they have a lot to learn. If the rest of their modern offensive weapons are as backward, we might have better than an even chance if our military were equal, which they are not yet. They might be by 2027 though...provided their economy doesn't collapse first.

If any civilization could have lead an alliance against Mongols, might they all have been better off?
