I've watched enough Joe Rogan (about 15 minutes) to know he has nothing insightful, wise or helpful to say. Mind you I am not saying Rogan is stupid. I am saying he is a long way out of his element taking on the socio-political stuff. Rogan is about as informed as the average guy on the street.
So I don't care what either of them thinks or has to say about homosexuality, marriage...or anything else that comes to mind. I don't dislike or hate Rogan - I just don't think he's worth my time to hear his ideas on anything - with the possible exception of martial arts.

Well considering that Rogan has I think still biggest audience for a podcaster in the world. or at least in the west, he has a cultural impact. What he says, sadly has an impact. You are right, he is very much out of his depth, and while he is more open minded to talking about lot of stuff with lot of people, he does not seem to become all that much wiser over the years, since the Fear Factor and UFC. But he is popular. At least he should get the basics right. But than again he came from California.

@iThink Taste is one thing. Depending on the context it can be irrelevant or very relevant. A taste for eating human flesh or taste for sex with small children can be serious problem, while taste for rock vs jazz is not that much of a problem. Fashion in the west as you might have notice is not what it used to be and that is not nostalgia that is a serious problem.
