I’ve received at least two comment over recent months from a gentleman that appears (I said appears) to mistakenly conflate ‘neoteny’ with pedophilia. Likewise the same mistaken conflation is made in all manner of other situations – all to the detriment of men and/or manhood. I bring this one issue up out of many only because its briefly addressed in this older video by Karen Straughan.
This conflation is so ridiculous as to ‘neoteny’ primarily being addressed as a zoological matter as it pertains to animal life in general – not the big bad man that pathological man hating feminists want you to picture in your mind when you hear this word. And cartoonist also rely strongly on the sympathy invoked ‘neoteny’ for their cartoon characters they want your favorable opinion of. Then there’s the cosmetic industry that is (for the most part) based on sales to women for the express purpose altering their appearance to be more child-like so as to elicit that male sympathy for themselves.
PS. This older interview video covers a bunch of different topics, but I’ve singled ‘neoteny’ out only because I’ve been wanting to address this confusion feminists have deliberately sown in the minds of the public for quite awhile and the subject just popped up briefly herein. So I’ve grabbed this opportunity to weigh in on it (neoteny) with this chance – neglecting all the other topics in doing so.
