@Krunoslav Croatia is looking pretty good these days. They don't seem to be removing farmers off their lands. They are even standing up for their neighbors against NATO control and policies. Their leader doesn't want to get dragged into the Ukraine fiasco. There are no drastic food shortages forecasted for Croatia. Argentina is said to be one of the best places in the near future. Maybe I will bug out to Croatia when SHTF here

They have done it in other ways for other reasons, but its not as in Netherlands that's for sure. They have out priced many farmers by combination of corruption , regulation and big companies. But that is common theme around the world.

Its not as straightforward as it seems. There are two main klepotcratic parties in Croatia and many smaller ones. The main two parties are like democrats and republicans in America, or labor and tori in UK. Any difference is superficial.

As it happens ,there is a position of Prime minister hold by dominant party and a position of president hold by its rival party for power, but equally bad for people.

Croatian prime minister is the lesser version of Justin Thrudoe. Someone who is not groomed to be young global leader, but is desporate to be part of the club and is willing to bend over backwards to get into EU club.... including selling off the country. So among your normal corruption, now the prime ministar has put us from local currency, Kuna to switch to failing Euro starting in January. Meaning we are now going down with the EU ship and are tied at the hip to any luncy they choose. This is what prime ministar has done so they can give him a job in EU when his term is up. Classic story.

And our president who is in seemingly rival party, is in charge at least on paper for the arms forces. As commander in chief , but other than that he has no real powers. Its all up to the prime ministar and its party. Its true he has been against support for Ukraine, the Ukranians even put him on their hit list. But prime minister is more than willing to not only corporate, but suck up beyond what is expected to the EU and globalists so they give him promotion in EU.

The good news, so far is that we had a referendum to vote on gay marriage and it was against, so at least on paper its not queer country although EU is pushing heavily that crap on everything it can. There is huge bureaucracy and goverment, payed off mainstream media, kind of like Canada. The main other thing that is good, is that because we are not economically good standing country, migrants did not want to stay here, because there is no money. So we at least avoided until now the main problems of migration.

Other than that there are nice and not nice people like in any country. Great natural reaches, and decent tradition of preservation of the old customs, if for nothing else than for tourists industry country is very dependent on.

But we are bought off by the EU and globalist with fake fiat, and we are full of corruption in goverment, not much different than any welfare large bureaucracy country in EU. Many have left seeking better employment, but if you can be a digital nomad or something like that, Croatia can be a very nice place to live.-

I very much doubt that. They are full on socialist and woke pushing , plus with their problems of corruption and debt, inflation is always on the high note. Especially now. I very much doubt the culture can change there or be allowed to change, If it did, the country is beautiful and has many natural resources. But other than that... not good. I knew several people intimately form Buenos Aires.

@Krunoslav Thanks for the insight. Getting it from people living there is the best accuracy. If I win the lottery, I may look into some of those islands in Croatia listed in the Croatian real estate sites. The ones the controlled media says are going to be under water in 10 years
