2210240300M A TOOTHLESS CONGRESS IS NO EQUAL BRANCH OF GOVERNMENT?
DISCLAIMER: I wish to acknowledge what I propose is a real headache for the Congressional Parliamentarian as it quite likely has no precedent that can even be referred to? Bu then, the United States experiment in self-rule is an UN-unprecedented form of government in the history of humankind. Perhaps there is something about my suggestion in Robert’s Rules of Order that I just don’t remember? That would be the Congressional Parliamentarian's problem to solve – just as it should be?
I would think that, to make the Executive and Legislative Branches equal there needs to be provision for Congress to override (veto, if you will) Executive Orders – just like the Executive can override (veto, if you will) acts of Congress? Far too much is being done, that harm the country, by Exective Orders of the President alone?
Uncle Joe is doing an unbelievable amount of damage to this United States simply by signing Executive Orders? Yes, Yes, I know that a lot of good things can be expedited by Executive Orders, but a lot bad things can (and has been) be done as well?
I’m not saying that veto power of Executive Orders by Congress will/would repair all the damage by Uncle Joe, but at least it’d be a start? Starting with removing his claws out of the throat of the oil companies thereby bringing down inflation? I for one just don’t think these young inexperienced adults comprehend the parts oil plays in their lives and ours? Why, look around yo9u right now and take notice of all the things you see that are made out of oil – even the street are derived from oil?
PS. Congress needs some dentures to take on these socialists?
