Climate change has been framed as the new religion. Its clergy are the new crop of world leaders and their prayerbook comes direct from The World Economic Forum. The High Priest Klaus Schwab teaches that the cattle must suffer with lack of food and power to save the world. The priesthood must be saved from this fate as who else will rule. Not the peasants, they will own nothing, they will have no privacy and they will be happy. If the argument for or against climate change was carried out using the scientific method then I might be more inclined to believe one way or another. But like everything else now the dogma is the only allowed belief.

Schwab has the mental horsepower of a lawnmower; especially considering he seems to believe the WEF should rule without being elected.
The holy grail of "Climate Change" mythology is CO2.
But CO2 is a greenhouse gas a magnitude less effective than both methane and water vapor. And methane and water vapor are at almost three magnitudes more plentiful than CO2...in other words, 1000 to 10,000 times stronger at magnifying the sun's power than CO2.
If the planet were to be heated by greenhouse gasses and CO2 were as dangerous as they claim, then water vapor and methane should have been so much more dangerous as to have turned the Earth into a smoking ruin a million years ago. Oops.
Then there are ocean levels. In 2005, Al Gore said New York City would be under water and so would half of Florida. The beach is still where it was 50 years ago. Ooops.

You and I vehemently disagree and dislike Schwab - but that doesn't mean he is stupid. He isn't stupid. Some of the most dangerous and rapacious personalities that ever existed were highly intelligent.
Any correlation between IQ and sociopathic, psychopathic, Schizoid and all manner of other negative personality illness is insignificant.
An agreeable, benevolent person is just as likely to be low IQ as dangerous people.
@iThink You say we disagree. Is that only about Schwab? I admit that his statements appear to be low information statements, but that you may be right that he could be effectively targeting the low information audience - a skill that requires intelligence.
@TimTuolomne I agree - the propaganda espoused by the globalists is only effectively accepted by those who are either low IQ and or willfully ignorant. If we pay close attention we see that those who buy into their globalist nonsense are those who resent anyone who "has more" than others. Those who believe they are somehow entitled to have or to own things they did not earn. The politics of resentment and envy reared its ugly head all through the 20th century...there are millions upon millions of corpses to attest to its evil failure.
The priest are exempt from leading by example.
I have studied global warming and all I know is the scientists that form the consensus are liars. They know it's not an existential threat and they exaggerated the warming and erased historical warm periods.
That anthropogenic warming from co2 is real. That isn't the question. The question is what cost should we pay to prevent it and who is going to pay. Certainly doesn't look like India, China or Russia are willing to pay so the West has gone on the longest most pointless and self destructive virtue signaling in history.

I have posed two questions to every climate change scientist I have met:
Are there more than one effect affecting climate? In other words man causes effects are just one group of several other effects such as solar cycles etc.
They always answer correctly, of course there are many effects, but human is a major one they would say.
Then I ask, what fraction of the total climate change effect is caused by human effects. Which is the closest answer: 1%, 10% or 99%.
Now they get upset, because they have absolutely no idea which of the three to answer. And of course the question is unanswerable. It is not possible to know how much due to modelling uncertainty.
And there the whole climate change theory collapses. If it is 1%, we don’t matter.
If it is 99%, we are doomed, we cannot reduce our effect 10 fold.
If it is 10%, we matter however please prove that.
The other question is how much impact will the West going zero carbon emissions have if the rest of the world accelerates the use of non renewable hydrocarbon fuels. It seems if they are right that adaptation is actually the only path forward which means using a lot of oil, gas and coal to cope with higher temperatures.
