I’ve been trying to figure out just what it is that’s so compelling about communism? And the one thing that seems common in all instances of bona fide indoctrination is an intense dislike of ‘capitalism?’

Rather than selling a person on ‘communism’ directly, these converts have been sold on how bad ‘capitalism’ is – then offered as a viable alternative communism? And of course they (the indoctrinator) is going to cite the definition of ‘crony capitalism’ rather than the definition of ‘capitalism’ itself for them to compare their benevolent socialist communism with?

Just like a snake mesmerizes its victim by rattling its tail – so too are people being indoctrinated into communism? Of course, once committed it’s extremely hard for them to admit that they’ve been had? The same misdirection(s) magicians have been deceiving people with for entertainment throughout human history?

PS. How much of Stalin’s incoherence ant the lack of ‘due process’ sounds familiar today?
