You know what is funny. If you look at every or any religion before the rise of liberalism, all the religions contain a warning myth. A meeting of some sort that warns rulers as well as ordinary people about the dangers of hubris. Recognizing there is a high power, whether it is nature or God(s), that will humble you if you get too cocky.

But in liberalism there is no such thing, because liberalism sees itself as the most enlighten religion there is. It is after all based on the age of reason and age of science, its objective, and not irrational, insane or stupid, like those previous primitive religions, is it?

Well, whether its liberalism or its derivatives, national socialism, fascism or Marxism in its many forms, if you look closely there are no myths that warn against the dangers of hubris. These are both young and arrogant religions, but empowered by technological advancements and globalization, when they make a mistake because of hubris everyone pays and before the consequences reach the people on the top, much of the bottom is destroyed. I suspect after this one, in order to survive, nationalism will come back. It is the only form of government that supports economic, cultural stability and border protection. None of which are provided by the globalists and it is devastating for everyone, except those who see themselves hoping on their private jets from one private island to the next, along with private security living in their ivory towers. Well, after the upcoming collapse of the western civilization and economic systems, something new will inevitably emerge, and it might even be something inspired by the past, when men did not consider themselves Gods, even before they learned how to be men.

Hubris often indicates a loss of contact with reality and an overestimation of one's own competence, accomplishments or capabilities. Hybris[pronunciation?] (Ancient Greek: Ὑβρις means "hubris" ) was a spirit (daemon) or goddess of insolence, violence, and outrageous behavior. In Roman mythology, the personification was Petulantia, who reflected the Greek conception of hubris.

And his destiny, following the second coming of Christ, is to be bound in a pit during the 1000-year millennial kingdom over which Christ will rule (Revelation 20:3), and eventually will be thrown into the lake of fire (Matthew 25:41).

Hubris, outrageous arrogance that leads to the downfall of a leader and his people, began as a theological concept. Indeed, later on, in Christianity, Hubris was a word for sin. As we saw with the people of Israel during Nazi Germany, both the guilty and the innocent suffer as a result of hubris.
