They pyramid scheme is collapsing and as expected when everyone wants to sell this worthless crypo, than no one wants to buy and boom, everything starts to collapse. And this is after FED only raised interest rates of about 1,75 %. Nothing. Cryptos are gambling assets that bet on the idea that will always find a bigger fool to sell it for more dollars. Calling this currency or digital gold or anything like that was and is always a lie use to hook in suckers. Just like ones and zeros, are presented as an image of golden bitcoin. lol I mean how dumb one must be to buy into that one. I guess many were. And those that did not exist in time are left holding the bag of this worthless virtual excrement.
I can't wait for the age when people go back to actually working for a living.

You should have most of your wealth in metal, and bury it in the ground on your property. You should put some money in crypto, but only the minimum necessary to make transactions.
It would be hilarious if an oligarch bought a stockpile of gold and created a digital currency backed by the gold.

Crypto is not a currency. Its a deliberate misnomer. Crypo is a financial asset for gamblers and insider traders, backed up by fake currency printing done by the FED. Crypo has no value as a currency, because it does not qualify as one. Its was too easy to manipulate it and its way to volatile to be used for the function of currency, plus its neither available enough to be use as a legit currency nor would most governments allow it to be currency,
The promise of crypto was to return to a sounder form of money by restoring full control over one's earned cash to the possessor and escape the grubby hands of government.
I was never convinced it could achieve that goal for the basic reason that without an electrical grid and a computer it is rendered unavailable.
It certainly put a bee in the government's bonnet to accelerate their agenda for a world currency which will wind up being a control mechanism distributed as social credits. It will not only control behavior but will control the distribution of all goods. Exactly what they are telling you when they say, "you will own nothing and you will be happy". they will take care of everything for you as long as you are in good standing and are not greedily accruing credits. That would be a no-no - it isn't equitable, you know! Not having any credits isn't equitable either but they won't pay too much attention on a remedy as it probably means you have acted unsociably and unco-operatively. I guess not all of us will be happy.

Yes, people like to talk about crypto as "decentralized" while they were still all living in the middle of a civilization.

Possible. Another possibility is that the goverment put a bee in the public. Bitcoin founder is famously or rather infamously surrounded by mystery. Almost as if it was as psyop by the CIA. Maybe one day will know.
What we do know is that the control freaks in the goverment and financial sectors want a social credit system and cashless society. It cannot work off course, because as Russia has demonstrated, my gas and oil beats your ones and zeros. But this does not stop the ideologues.
