House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has been barred from receiving Holy Communion in the Archdiocese of San Francisco because of her increasingly "extreme" position on abortion, Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone announced Friday.
In a "letter to the faithful," the archbishop wrote that after repeated attempts to speak with Pelosi and persuade her to adhere to the Catholic Church's teaching that life begins at conception and abortion is a sin, he has determined to place her under public church discipline.
"Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi’s position on abortion has become only more extreme over the years, especially in the last few months," Cordileone wrote. "Just earlier this month she once again, as she has many times before, explicitly cited her Catholic faith while justifying abortion as a 'choice,' this time setting herself in direct opposition to Pope Francis."
He quoted a statement Pelosi made to the Seattle Times earlier this month in which she fumed over the leaked draft Supreme Court majority opinion that would uphold Mississippi's 15-week abortion ban and overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade decision.
I wonder how long it will take the long arm of the Woke Pope to reach out to advise the Archbishop to 'back off'???

The current pope is an example of failed diversity. Liberation theology is the product of South American dystopia. While there are many reasons, as covered in "Guns, Germs and Steel" that South America did not prosper the way North America did after colonization Jared Diamond could never come to include culture. Ask yourself why Japan flourished after adopting American culture. To some extent even China adopted American culture and is now on the way to being the worlds largest economy with considerably less poverty than 50 years ago. Something about Spanish and native culture mixing is unhealthy. Just as North American natives still suffer from poverty and social alienation their counterparts in South America have suffered a similar fate. Despite the best efforts of progressives no reasonable solutions seem to emerge so they settled on immigration. What they can't accept is that immigration has only worked where there was assimilation.
The world economic forum, new world order, great reset etc. freaks seem to have settled on making everyone poor to end the diversity of outcomes in different ethnic groups. Many seem intent on imposing some form of communism because they have concluded that is the only way to end diversity of outcomes. They, including this pope, are weak people without the fortitude to deal with unpleasant realities.
