Quebec Premier François Legault wants the federal government to shut down the Roxham Road border crossing to thousands of fake “refugees” pouring in from the US.
Legault disputes whether the illegals are refugees, a ploy that took hold in 2016 by illegals claiming they were fleeing from the US into Canada to escape Donald Trump. The Trump presidency is ended, but the immigration fraud persists.
Refugees, traditionally, are people fleeing war zones like Ukraine, but few politicians are willing to call out the absurdity of people “escaping” the US. In a situation much like that at the US Souther border, the fake refugees play the host country for a sucker, knowing they are assured of years of entitlements as they claims slowly wind their way through the system.
Canada already admits 350,000 to 400,000 legal immigrants annually.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.As I understand it, Intl law says that if you are to claim to be a refugee and you flee your country, you must immediately stop at the first country entered and file as a refugee IN THAT Country. If, instead, you pass thru the first and onto another you lose refugee status in ANY subsequent country.
Refugee status does not give you the right to skip from one country after another until you get to one you like. That is immigration, and is regulated by every country on earth.
E.g., if you are a Honduran native and walk thru Mexico to the US -- go get in line with the rest of the folks legally trying to enter the US as an immigrant. Don't like that? Tough. Then, go away.

The RCMP were actually carrying the luggage of illegals through the snowbanks and across the border. Leftists were arguing — with straight faces — that these were refugees from Trump’s America.
That was before Trudeau labelled peaceful truckers “terrorists” and started freezing their bank accounts without warrants.
