You know for a while i had to sort of give it to my one friend when she criticizes the Republican party for having no “real” platform that anyone can convey to her as their reasoning for voting for them. First off it the argument is how can you vote for a party that has no clear platform, easy because at the very least it isn’t the platform of the Democrats. Second, even of the party doesn’t have a cohesive platform, so what? i don’t need some laundry list of what the party is doing so long as i have some idea what the candidate is aiming for because once elected then that person is going to push for their plans and not the party’s anyway. now sure sometimes they may be the same as the party as a whole but not always. now this brings me to the third part, Trump, of course and those who like him. Why? Even if you can get on board with my original two positions her issue with him is that he didn’t seem to have a clear agenda. ok, i’ll say that is half true. on some matters i think he really did have things planned out he just wasn’t the best at conveying his thoughts and the media was no help nor was the fact that a large number of politicians were against him so it made it hard. that all being said her BIG gripe is health care and how he talked about repealing Obamacare. Oh no. Plus he had no plan on what to do after repealing it. He had nothing to replace it with. and here is what i’ve been wrestling with how to respond and i think i got it finally. ok if you’re a fan of Obamacare i get it, it going away is bad. and you want something to replace it and Trump not having anything sounds bad. but consider who you are arguing with. Did you ever think the lack of a plan of what to replace it with was actually the plan all along? Like come on how about Obamacare goes away and the government just butts out of health care

In 2016 Trump had a clear platform, it looked to me that it was almost exactly Obamas 2008 platform, that Obama promptly ignored.

The Affordable Care Act directly increased my costs by a little less than 100% AND reduced my coverage in the stuff we used. (So far none of us have had a sex change operation.)

Trump directly decreased the cost of insulin and ordered open pricing at the start of procedures, not 10 months later! Both were immediately killed by President Biden when he got in.

(Hint: Always use the full term "President Biden" so spell check can warn you that's wrong. I fully agree.)

The Republican Party has published a clear platform from its inception with President Lincoln. It has always been defense of the Constitution.

Democrats have always lied about who they are, and charged Republicans of doing everything Democrats have done. Democrats also claim Republicans have a platform entirely different than what Republicans publish. Only a fool would believe Democrats' claim. For example Democrats founded the KKK to intimidate former slaves from voting for Lincoln, and often claim Republicans are KKK, and charge Republicans with racism, when Democrats were always the racists.

The Constitution and the Tenth Amendment both make Federal healthcare illegal, which never bothered Democrats who passed Obamacare in the dead of night, and Obamacare remained unchallenged by a Supreme Court also no longer following their Constitional mandate to ensure new law is Constitutional.

The Constitution and the Tenth Amendment ALWAYS provided that each State could do whatever it pleased that was not included in Federal Powers. Federal Powers were never more than to protect the nation with a strong military, snd to regulate interstate commerce.

Everything else the Federal government has done was instituted by Democrats illegally, and allowed by ignorant voters, no longer acquainted with and utterly ignorant of the gift of Constitutional protection of their rights, by limiting the Federal government.
