Too many churches, particularly Methodists and Lutherans, distort Christianity into something it isn’t, a “religion” that only worships self.

@Andyman Yes, it must be God's love. Now, I'm not so in favor of homosexuals joining in with the congregation (they might have agenda)
BUT, another evening, maybe open Mike, Christian karaoke, small discussion groups, YES and a gentle person explains how they'll keep healing, then come for part of the service.

In fact, I'd hoped for Christian dances, good fun, exercise, young and old enjoying each other but I'm told that's 'worldly'.

I think Christian love happens when we're enjoying life.

@2FollowHim I think it’s dangerous for the church to try to compete with the secular world in the “fun” department, I look to the church solely for spiritual nourishment. Too many churches fall into that trap and it’s a slippery slope.

@Andyman I think opposite. Energy= closeness=connectedness. I never said you'd lower biblical teaching, and actually, far more biblical teaching would be better.
There are 7 days. Two of those could be for other areas like open Mike on some topic others liked. To me, part of why very few go is great boredom.

On those other nights, I'd hope the community might come.
The music would be decent Christian, meaning not heavy metal etc, but
where you'd hear the words, the Christian message.

Maybe our visions are too different. But we see churches failing.
There's many reasons, but apparently Catholic churches in Quebec sit EMPTY. Now that's extreme.
I'm not Catholic, but many were. What happened.

@Andyman Some want traditional, true, snd I like services that way, too.
Everything would be Christian, never secular, UNLESS maybe inviting the entire community for Karaoke or open mike sometimes.

You've seen how sedentary people are, perfect to get Covid.
Energy, joy, movement in Praise uplifts.

You need a pastor leading in prayer, maybe introducing the hymn or song.
This then is where the 'gay conversion' candidates can go and pray with others, feel welcomed.

I keep the block separated.

It would take time due to secular brainwashing but worth it.
