How to treat the dangerously larcenous youth in the Justice system - where do we draw the line between enforcement of The Law for the safety and protection of greater society and the morally correct treatment of the young and very young offender?
There seems to be no way to solve that legal moral conundrum.
Even when a child has committed a heinous act it is heartbreaking to see them tried, convicted and punished same as adult offenders.
I don't have any suggestions on how to resolve that particular problem. I simply defer to those who are wiser than I and hope for the "right thing" to be done - for whatever that might mean.
