The donkey told the tiger, "The grass is blue."
The tiger replied, "No, the grass is green ."
The discussion became heated, and the two decided to submit the issue to arbitration, so they approached the lion.
As they approached the lion on his throne, the donkey started screaming: ′′Your Highness, isn't it true that the grass is blue?"
The lion replied: "If you believe it is true, the grass is blue."
The donkey rushed forward and continued: ′′The tiger disagrees with me, contradicts me and annoys me. Please punish him."
The king then declared: ′′The tiger will be punished with 3 days of silence."
The donkey jumped with joy and went on his way, content and repeating ′′The grass is blue, the grass is blue..."
The tiger asked the lion, "Your Majesty, why have you punished me, after all, the grass is green?"
The lion replied, ′′You've known and seen the grass is green."
The tiger asked, ′′So why do you punish me?"
The lion replied, "That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because it is degrading for a brave, intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with an ass, and on top of that, you came and bothered me with that question just to validate something you already knew was true!"
The biggest waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who doesn't care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on discussions that make no sense. There are people who, for all the evidence presented to them, do not have the ability to understand. Others who are blinded by ego, hatred and resentment, and the only thing that they want is to be right even if they aren’t.
When IGNORANCE SCREAMS, intelligence moves on.

Being promised by the lion that the tiger will be punished for telling that the grass is green, the donkey is now assured that it is the truth that the grass is blue, and there will be many others that will believe that the donkey is telling the truth. Isn't that how belief, like religion, spreads?

Very few should mind the case where the ass is happy in his ignorance. The problem comes when the ass seeks to force others to their viewpoint under threat of reprisal. That is something we don't need.

I'm not sure I agree with your little parable. You see, the color of grass is not in any way relevant to life and culture - sex is! immutable characteristics like skin color is! Life in the womb is!
When a fool comes and says boys can be girls and girls can be boys...there are incredibly burdensome problems with that idea - particularly where young children are burdened with that idea which in abjectly false. Teaching children to believe in and to embrace an obvious falsehood is cruel - it is abusive and it should be prohibited. If it isn't already it should be a prosecutable legal matter.
When someone comes along and says "a human embryo or zygote is NOT human life..." we know intuitively this to be abjectly false. Only those with a contorted sense of righteousness and morality would make such an argument. Only those who have an ultimate sense of selfishness and indifference to lives other than their very own would accept that idea as righteous and true.
To be the "tiger" - to stand up and argue against such nonsense does NOT make the tiger an "ass" - nor is it a waste of the "kings" time. I would agree that to argue of color of things like grass (color of skin is an entirely different thing) is indeed a waste of time. It is a meaningless argument.
Sex differences, life in the womb, color of skin - all are things that are immutable qualities that define us as individual human beings. For anyone to say that arguing in defense of them is a waste of time is an absurdity on the face of it.
It might seem silly or even absurd to say that one must defend the obvious truths of sex - men are men and women are women. It might seem silly and a waste to argue with a fool who wants license to snuff out human life in the womb. It might seem a waste of time to argue against the obviously stupid notion that the differences between people of various skin color are only superficial. It is incumbent upon sensible people to identify absurdity and stupidity in the face of it.
Apathy and indifference to Truth (upper case is intentional here) can only lead to collapse of civilization. It effectively puts the idiots in charge and there will no recovery from that.

I agree with the concept. It apparently does not work in practice. Our liberal friends, to include the media and elected officials are espousing things as fact which just ain't so. "There's about a hundred genders". "Socialism is good". "All white people are racist". We have ignored these people and they have convinced a lot of sheeple that these concepts, "grass is blue" are true, and that they should act to force the rest of us to agree with these concepts.
We have to argue with the idiots/asses to stop the spread.
