Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I often pondered the possible explanations for why Black people involved in simple "fender bender" accidents have often escalated to lethal violence against the drivers and occupants of the car(s) they collided with.
Could it be because they know that if and when the police get involved (called to the scene of the accident) they will be asked to show:
Drivers license - which they don't have or is suspended:
Proof of Insurance - which they don't have because they are not insured
Registration document for vehicle - which they can't produce.
At which point the police will usually try to determine their (the Black driver) true identity which will likely come back as having outstanding warrants, or being on parole or probation and having had their drivers license suspended...
Unable to show proof of Identity/drivers license and other documents will result in police ultimately doing a cursory search of the car before having it towed and the search will turn up things like firearms, drugs, drug paraphernalia, large sums of money, open alcohol...
All of which ultimately adds up to the typical Black driver and other occupants of the car being arrested...
Sooo, a minor fender bender to the typical Black person rapidly turns into a major negative outcome...arrest, jail, fines - perhaps and often times a revocation of parole and or charges of probation violation...
Soooo, rather than accept personal responsibility for all of the bad shit going on in the moment the typical Black person will blame and violently attack the driver of the other car (especially if that other person happens to be of any race other than Black) involved in the accident...because - racism...right?
