When an advanced civilization meets a stone age civilization (1700s), the inferior culture is either assimilated or annihilated. This natural process has been going on for EONS!!!
This is how mankind has progressed...a superior technology overpasses the lesser.
Tell me again...WHY should we all return to the stone age?

It’s really quite simple. The sooner we all return to the Stone Age, the sooner society can return to simpler times when the nobility with the papacy at its head, owned literally everything and the majority class of serfs existed only to serve them. Do these radical Indians really believe they will be allowed free reign if they accomplish their goals? 
My understanding so LONG AGO was they weren't successful anyway.
But they sure did plenty of bad things to settlers. They COULD have made an early settlement and fenced off their area. But they fought, lost.
You lose, you LOSE. Sounds like they should have been wiped out.
Not sure ALL groups are that way.
I suggest finding out.
If anything like AU, these so called natives are mostly collecting welfare and living in government provided housing. Should they get their way, are they going to repay every cent received and move out of state housing? I wouldn't hold my breath!

In Canada, as long as a “native” lives on a reserve, he/she receives a monthly payment and a free house. If they choose to seek employment they pay zero income tax! I remember working in a northern sawmill in my youth. Of course, I was paying rent and taxes to support my family, a wife and baby, at the time. The unmarried Indian teenagers would cash their huge untaxed pay checks, return to their rent free houses, and party it all away until the next check. They would also pay zero tax for gas, cigarettes, etc., at the native operated gas station. It’s a vicious cycle for Indians. There really isn’t much incentive to move off of the reserve and join mainstream society!

I remember how they drank up their earnings, never did anything.
Weren't motivated at all.
I'm sure historians can help with this. Indians didn't get along. That I seem to remember.
They did plenty of bad stuff. Maybe THEY OWE? Maybe Canada dredged up their infractions, charges THEM?
These things happen when you lose a war. It's ALWAYS corrupt: the whole world is corrupt
