It's a popular myth (put out by Socialists) that Nazis and Communists are on opposite sides of the political spectrum. They are not. They are both way over on the same side, practically first cousins to each other.

@magapundit yeah, you are 100% right. Antisemites hate Jews no matter what, even if they have nothing to do with the religion of Judaism. A Jew who is an Atheist, or even a Jew who has converted to Christianity, will still be hated and have conspiracies and rhetoric used against them. I should know, as an Atheist Jew.

That doesn't explain the rest of your comment. You are saying you cannot be a Jew and be a Democrat, or be a Jew and not support Israel 100%. That is false. Jew, as an ethnicity, has nothing to do with politics or a random ethnostate committing human rights violations. If you are equating the Democratic party treating Jews as Thanksgiving treats turkeys, I have no idea what you are talking about. Which political party has a prominent member of Congress spreading "Jewish space laser" conspiracies and claiming you cannot be a legitimate official if you don't swear an oath on a Bible (hint, it is the Republicans). Prominent Conservatism in the US is heavily tied to white supremacy and antisemitism, so it is more contradictory to be a Jewish Conservative. In fact, many evangelical right-wing Republicans only care about Israel due to Biblical prophecies about Jews being in control of Israel for Jesus to return - they still hate Jews, and expect Jesus to come back and exterminate them.

And no, Nazis were right-wing fascists. They were not socialists. It is a common lie used by the right-wing to try and distance themselves from Nazis and blame the left.

But he is a Jew who is one inwardly and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit and not of the letter, whose praise is not of men but God.
You say you're an atheist Jew? Then it would seem to me you have the worst of both worlds. You are regarded as a Jew by the world and hated for it, and regarded as not a Jew by God and thus not under His protection. It occurs to me that that might explain a lot of the persecution that Jews have suffered over the centuries. Makes me wonder why anyone would deliberately choose that for themselves. That's what my comment about "turkeys voting for thanksgiving" was all about in case you were wondering.
I can't speak for "right wing Republicans" as you call them but evangelical Christians support Israel because we feel we share a common spiritual heritage. As an atheist you probably wouldn't understand that.
And, yes Nazis were Socialists. that's why they called themselves National Socialists and they weren't kidding about that. Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia were like two sides of the same coin. And both were anti Semitic precisely because both were Godless.
