I replied with an Orwell quote about UK parties. In my commentary, I spelled conservative with a lower case c. That and the fact that I'm replying to your general statement suggest that I'm making a general statement about ideologies, not UK parties specifically.

I concede that Orwell was speaking about UK parties, as indicated by his use of capitalization, but that it is still generally relevant, i.e. for the namesake ideologies of those parties in general.
