Looks like the government is taking responsibility for everything. We have none anymore. Do we just need to follow orders when politicians say "follow the science" and proceed to celebrate their birthdays or vacation in Mexico or the Caribbean? Leave the border open yet quarantine their own returning citizens in hotels the are forced to pay for?

What's going on here, Wayne? It is undeniable that something is circulating that , we have learned, sounds familiarly like a type of flu that is easily transmissible and certain demographics are especially vulnerable but beyond that do we need to shut down the world?

Every individual is different and some categories of individual need to take precautions more than others. The correct medical advice should be to keep your immune system healthy and if you are in a compromised demographic take extra care. Masks are useless. In other words Take responsibility for yourself and don't be a sheep herded to the fox's den when they tell you the sky is falling.

@WayneHawthorne Fine. Stay quarantined, then. Sorry, but how about taking a bullet because everyone has to work to feed their families? Should we disrupt the food supply networks and sink into a dystopian world or have everyone die? Cmon man! Half a percent of people who get it will die.
It isn't ebola or small pox.

@FrankZeleniuk I apologise for unduly raising your blood pressure. Nope, I'm not quarantined. The second Moderna shot gives me 90% protection which according to my math is better than Zero protection without it.

@WayneHawthorne If you need protection you're entitled to do all you can to do so. If you are between the ages of 12 and sixty with a healthy immune system and no co-morbidity, you shouldn't be too concerned about protection. Under those conditions, the risks of the vaccine and adverse reactions are about the same as getting covid. Masks and social distancing are ineffective protections and are just feel good practices that invoke a false sense of moral superiority. It is irresponsible not to keep the socio/economic engine going as normally as possible. Otherwise the government will have to print a few trillion dollars and destroy it anyway. Seems like that's what they are doing. You can't give responsibility away to the government without them feeling entitled to run every aspect of your life. You are not asking people to be responsible if you are asking them to sign over the right to be responsible for every aspect of your life. I guess that's where we are now though.

@FrankZeleniuk Since I have four of the five preconditions that almost guarantee a fatal outcome, the path to vaccine protection was clearly advisable.
