And all I can think of is a conversation I had with someone here roughly three months ago, who said that it was utterly ridiculous to think that people would be fired for having different opinions, that no one is being canceled, that it's just a right-wing conspiracy, blah blah blah.
And yet, this is the third instance this month alone where I've encountered a story of either a teacher or school administrator openly suggesting that any educator who does not toe the CRT line is not long for their profession.
Truly, we are in the twilight of America where people earnestly believe that teaching white children to hate themselves and focusing on social justice instead of reading, writing, and arithmetic - which, BTW, is now declared racist - is just the education we need.
