We are at a point in history where WE have to make a MAJOR decision!!!!
WE live/lived in a country that is/was the greatest nation ever devised by man!!!
If it is to continue, WE THE PEOPLE have to get this country back to the ideas and ideals on which it was founded!!!!! If we do not do it, SOON, what comes next will make the "DARK AGES" look like a walk in the park!!!
If you do not understand how BAD this could get, I would HIGHLY recommend you read the book or watch the movie "1984", you have probably heard reference to it, but read it or watch it YOURSELF, then decide!!!!!!
The changes needed will take the citizen in their 20's through 40's, to stand up!!!
My concern is that age range has been Educated by what I believe is a Socialist regime that we, my generation did not stop in the 1960's!!!
For my generation, I apologize, many of us saw it coming!!!

Please, share what "ideas and ideals" you would prefer be implemented in this country. Be specific. What do you want enacted? What do you want repealed?

The ideals I believe in were spelled out pretty well by the framer of the Constitution, there fore you and I will not agree!!!
So, end of discussion!!!!
@Serg97 actually we do agree, let's go back to Constitutional principles. The actual principles, not the execution - so no slavery or walking back civil rights. So true freedom. No more Christian favoritism. Legalize all drugs. Make sure LGBT people have all the same equalities as everyone else. No trying to outlaw abortion. And so on.
@JacksonNought I just realized you have a chip on your shoulder regarding Christianity. Understandable, many people have used it as a shield to do and act in some pretty heinous ways. That said.
We need some guiding principles. Do you want to fill the void with philosophical ideas like those that sprang/sprung from the enlightenment or the state?
@Tarpon I may have a bias against Christianity, but that's because it is the dominant religion in the USA and people try to force it on others and use it for discrimination. I have similar issues with other religions (Judaism, Islam, etc) but they don't cause the same kind of issues as Christianity does in the USA.
I am fine with guiding principles. I am fine with using Enlightenment values. The Constitution, as it stands, is fine with me - as long as it is actually executed sincerely.
