I agree with you. NY is a one party state and for a long time, NYers have been talking about splitting the state in two. The idea of a “break up” isn’t new. It hasn’t happened here because it is easier to “just move” to Florida or another red state to escape the outrageous tax and spend policies of the left. Once this one party concept takes hold at the National level it is more likely that people who have money will just leave the country. That has always been my plan.

@RitBorg Unfortunately, I don't have money. Where would you go, though? If you don't want to say, that's cool. As much as I complain about this country (and I understand that I DO have the freedom to complain about freedom, lol) and its destruction of its own history (in early 1861 NYC considered seceding and becoming a neutral trading port between US & CS, bet they don't teach that anymore), I don't see any other nation that has a somewhat comparable amount of freedom being able to stand against the movement to destroy freedom. Even a 'reduced' nation of seceded states (the middle of the country, basically) in my opinion would still be stronger than the other nations that still have freedom.

One of the interesting lessons that can be learned from this is that we now can see the swamp clearly in government and without and also that there are more than a few republicans among them, politicians are opportunists as we can see they attach themselves to the strongest candidate when opportune without regard for philosophy or principal. I suppose in a way we fall victim to making assumptions and encouraging tags to label everything left, right, republican democrat etc instead of digging deeper.

Well, that's not really asking much. According to the progressive Left, ALL white people are racist white supremacists, whether they know it or not. Additionally, you can never stop being a racist white supremacist, you can only take steps to be more "anti-racist" - which in practical terms - means anti-white and socialist. This is the essence of critical race theory.

So in a nutshell, if you're in any way conservative (anti-socialist), support free speech, support meritocracies, or support nationalism (patriotism), then they denounce you if not outright attempt to cancel you. To them, that is the difference between months of protests and violence - which they firmly believe were justified in combating what they claim is an institutionally racist society - and the Capitol riot, which they believe is an expression of white supremacy and fascism.

I mean, the whole thing is ludicrous, but people NEED to understand the reasoning behind their outrageous claims, if they're going to combat it.

I can't ever say it well enough, but everybody needs to figure out and really comprehend the fact that we're at least two--arguably more--alien species landed together in the same space and time and one or more of the species is determined to drive the rest into extinction. They've deployed a chaos monster, ON PURPOSE, to drive us from the land. They hate us and want us dead. The LITERALLY want to indoctrinate our children into a cult with a global death wish upon the structures of civilization. They say it directly in critical theoretical texts and worse, in schools of "education."

There's no way to talk about it without sounding insane.

I agree with you that they want us dead. There is no common ground. Their is no intellectual discussion. There is no free market of ideas. Only the trademark tactics of the left everywhere: never debate issues; ridicule opposing ideas; slander, insult and smear those who hold them.

Unfortunately, we can’t seem to get the memo. When we dedicate ourselves to drive them to extinction, then we may have a chance. Sometimes diplomats art called for. Other times call for a Patton or a Trump. Payton had an army. Trump was abandoned by everyone he should have been able to count on.

I disagree with such a heavy-handed approach; rather, I'm reminded of the fable of the ant and the grasshopper.

That is, we know where the path they want to go leads. We know historically what's going to happen because it's happened in every place it's been tried. But we - non-progressives - have lost the culture war. We do not control what our children are taught, we do not control the infrastructure of information, we do not control what information is disseminated to the low-information masses who aren't paying attention. ANY aggression would be a critical error, same as we saw at the Capitol riot, where people assumed that because BLM/Antifa had protested for months without repercussions, that it would be the same for them.

Instead, we need to play the long game. We need to prepare - much like the LDS do - for disaster. We need to redouble our efforts to teach our children not only right from wrong, but how to think critically, because public schools and higher education won't. We need to relearn skills to help us survive the dark times to come, whether that be farming or simple home repairs. We need to be the ant in the fable, preparing for the rainy day that is sure to come. We need to learn how to be a virtual community again, instead of a loose group of individuals of social media; that's where our sense of belonging to a larger community and sanity checks against more radical ideas will come from.

One day, the pendulum will swing back in our direction, as people realize that promises of free this and free that are not the panacea that they mistakenly think it is. We have to be a positive example, if not doubly so, because of what will be said about us in the MSM. We have to be better than good; we have to be role models. And perhaps if we had been all along...we wouldn't find ourselves in this position today.

When I see the recist propaganda being taught in our elementary schools, for the soul purpose of indoctrinating our children; I want to shake every parent and tell them to "wake up", get their kids our of the toxic public school environment, and protect them from the devisive rhetoric being pushed by the left.
