Bad taste, nurses are exposed and suffer way more than the average citizen and in the UK hospitals are close to over whelmed and about to use feild/Nightingale hospitals.
I have no problem with people on the sharp end lightening the mood in any way they see fit.

Nightingale hospitals?
Way down towards the bottom of this cover are the words nightingale, though I don't think it refers to hospitals. Still curious for the 2020 cover.

Personally, I do have a problem with it.
Seven years ago, as I watched through an open door, the woman I love laid dying in a hospital bed. She was surrounded by several nurses and a doctor. They were telling jokes and laughing until they noticed me and shut up. I’m sure gallows humour releases stress. It is also a disrespectful, dehumanizing, twist of the blade for patients and their loved ones! The most painful day of my life was made incredibly worse by these callous death row comedians! My precious lady is gone, but the salt ground into my shattered and wounded heart that day remains with me. I will never forget their faces, deformed by laughter, circling her motionless sheet covered body like vultures as I wept in silent agony.
Trust me, to those poor souls with loved ones dying alone in a hospital room, these idiotic videos are a slap in the face by a system that doesn’t give a shit about their pain.
Sorry for your bad experiance, it does look like misconduct and laziness rather than a deliberate attempt to insult.
@WorldSigh I am so very sad to hear of your nightmare experience with the passing of your light/love. I too have experienced several hoarish moments with unthinking and selfish medical personnel. I won't mention them now as it would only detract from your own agony.
Not all medical personnel at every level is a "saint" as depicted by media and much of the public. Some are, but many are just doing a job "business as usual".
Well, my take is perhaps a little different. My sister spent most of her career in a major children's hospital as a nurse. The trajedy of what they deal with on a daily basis seems somehow more bearable when they have their moments of humor. Without those their souls would be crushed. She has the most bizarre sense of humor but I know it has been her only way to continue as long as she did and be a good as she was without that humor.

The problem is the public nature of these mindless videos. If medical staff needs stress relief via humour, it should not be done in front of grieving loved ones!
