It has always been one of the common cold viruses.
The CDC statistics now are aligning with German statistics, common cold viruses kills ~0,2% of the population, and COVID-19 kills 0,45 to 0,49%. In both cases the old and infirm are at most risk.

There are new strains of cold and flue virus every year, the idea that we can stop them is ridicules the best we can do is to enhance our immune systems through good nutrition and exercise. There is no magic pill or shot that will replace a healthy immune system. Diseases that are a direct result of poor diet and no exercise are still the number one killers of people if the government was relay interested in you physical well being they would address these issues.
Actually, Common Cold is mostly caused by Rhinoviruses (also Coronaviruses, Influenza viruses and Adinoviruses).
Also, I think the look/shape of Coronaviruses is maybe the most commonly known to people and one (including journalists) may just put a Coronavirus on any article or page about viruses (and it isn't wrong too in case of Common Cold)!

Yeah, Google has not come around to removing those photos, to keep the fraud going.
Millions are unemployed, thousands have committed suicide, and tens of millions more are suffering because they have been convinced that the common cold is a terrifying virus - in spite of the big, obvious fact that no one they know died in the street in March, like a dangerous virus would do, and almost no one is dying now - especially compared to current deaths due to automobile accidents, home accidents, suicide and many other diseases. A big total number is suspect. Even though proven gunshot deaths have been listed as COVID deaths, among thousands of other fraudulently listed COVID deaths.
More effective testing identifies the true extent of the virus, NOT how dangerous it is, and DEFINITELY DOES NOT ESTABLISH THAT IT IS AN INCREASE, nor actual deaths.
The media is sending teams to hospitals where there are a few people with COVID, and reporting that the hospitals are overwhelmed. WAKE UP!!!!!!!
