A couple things that come to mind immediately:

1. Black Americans tend to be considerably more religious and socially conservative than White Americans. They have noticed the growing animosity toward Christianity and Christians, and resent having LGBTQP ideology jammed down their throats.

2. Black Americans don't like being treated like nappy-headed who need White saviors. I've met very few White Nationalists who don't have at least a few Black friends, or who won't acknowledge the difference between a decent, hard-working honest Black person and ... well, the other sort of Black person. Most Leftists are incapable of seeing Blacks -- or any non-White person -- as anything but victims.

3. Any Christian worthy of the title believes there is neither slave nor free and neither Jew nor Greek in the Body of Christ. They also believe that every human being has a soul made in the image of God. The Left can tell you "Black Lives Matter" and scream that "All Lives Matter" is a racist slogan. The Christian Right can tell you "Black Lives are Sacred, as are All Lives."

Lyndon Johnson pushed his civil rights legislation through Congress 56 years ago (with the help of Barry Goldwater’s Republicans) with various modules of his Great Society being enacted in the next few years. These were meant to tackle education reform, urban renewal, and the much hyped war on poverty.

These were designed to be the capstone on the edifice started by FDR and a shining monument to the leftist belief in the ability and necessity of government to correct society’s inequities through social engineering and government mandates. Over half a century. How’s that been working out?

I know the left considers statistics racist, and with good reason: the numbers tell the truth about where the true racism is located. The black family has been decimated—70% birthrate to single mothers as opposed to 20% In the early 60s. Public education is a joke nationwide but in the inner cities it’s a combat zone. The schools are turning out functional illiterates lacking the minimal social skills that would open up employment opportunitues for them. The lack of an employnent base means that businesses, and jobs, will go elsewhere. We’re seeing three and four generations of systemic welfare dependency. You want systemic racism, look no further.

This is the legacy of the left. They’ve had their chance—more than enough of a chance—and they’ve failed miserably. Now that they’ve turned a blind eye to crime and are actively working to undermine efforts to combat it, what reasons are left for black urban communities to keep voting for the ideologues who created this mess?

As Joe Biden says, “Poor kids are as smart as white kids.”
