In the early 1900s I would have to say that yes, blacks had the cards stacked against them. That is why the civil rights movement of the 50s, and 60s was so important. I also believe that the leaders of that movement shot themselves in the foot, and basically sent this movement in a direction that has a direct result of younger blacks today being so easily manipulated into believing they are living in the face of social oppression like what their great grandparents faced as kids. They also created a whole litany of new social victims demanding special privileges from the federal government.

The younger generations are refusing to face all the advances that have taken place through the years. This was, in part, the fact the civil rights movement focused on having the federal government solve things with expansion of federal authority. They should have focused more on simply proving the segregationist policies wrong rather than demanding the federal government take authority it was not allowed under the Constitution. If they had used their financial resources to open all cafes that were operated by blacks, open to all blacks, and also all white folks, and made sure those places had the best food and service in time people would have chosen these places over all white eating establishments because of that and learned blacks can do just as well, and at times even better than white folks can do in a situation with a business. instead they placed all their financial resources into shipping a bunch of yankess down south, transportation costs, feeding costs, housing costs, and the rest was placed into legal fees, and medical expenses. The end result being a bloated federal government that now finds it's security into pandering to anyone claiming some kind of victim status.

These days seldom read an article, I typically just look at headlines. Every so often I do open the article and regret my curiosity because things are so stupid and there is not even a basic level of the writer trying to hide the agenda they are pushing.

Granted I do not look a the news every single day, but I tend to agree if these things were happen on what is now being show cased as another historical march people would have known. If I had missed it by not loking through news headlines I would have learned about this march from someone on here or a couple of other social medias posting about it. But not a word until today, and the photos show what a dismal failure this march of thousands turned out to be. Heck I think the Covington kids had a bigger crowd than what these people allegedly marched all that way for arrived to find

When I was a kid walking was how I got where I wanted to go most of the time. For a few years I rode a bike. The beginning of my tenth grade year of school I moved onto a ranch with my uncle, and grandmaother. we lived about 8 miles outside of town. Walking to and from town was not unusual at all for me, often several times a week if need be. I doubt I would have made a march like that back then. I know damned well the people in that photo did not.

If you marched them ten miles a day for four days I expect you would have a total revolt on your hands when you woke them on day five to walk another. But we are expected to just believe this because it was printed by a newspaper.

The saddest thing is that many people will believe this without question. I am forever mind boggled at the lack of any level of critical thinking in our society these days.
