If it refers to the war in 1902 then "American Philippines War" is correct. From my reading of Filipino history, the Filipinos had essentially beaten the Spanish and were on the way to independence. The Americans professed friendship and used this supposed friendship to annex the Philippines and destroying Filipinos independence. I suggest you read some Filipino history books. I live in the Philippines and always find it a little strange that Americans are so well regarded in view of the American annexation which was not gentle.
