We have the technology to safely, cleanly extract oil, gas, and coal from the earth AND to use it cleanly with the carbon-capture filters currently being deployed in the US with only Saskatchewan on board in Canada.
Tell me, is this the best we can do? Are these people's lives worth only what they can provide for our "green" future?

The US is changing out to natural gas which is much cleaner than coal. We can do even better if the left would stop pushing fear concerning nuclear.

Absolute truth. Carbon capture is happening 10 miles South of me in Alberta. There’s also the carbon sequestration project coming on line now.
Yeah, that was my point. One of my family was the man who, with his team, created the carbon capture filter. He took his father's prototype and made an amazing filter that no only captures CO2 and other by-products (Impurities) but stores them for recycling. The one filter on the damn in Sask captured enough carbon in 1-year to pay for the filter.
@Spetsnasty When did this start? I've kind of been out of the loop with family matters since December.
@PamelaSteele The Quest Project has been storing Co2 from the oil sands since 2015. They pump it into old oil fields, improving oil output. The refinery near me is called NWR, North West refinery (Redwater refinery), The Government has their hand in that one and it captures Co2 and it heads south. I heard on the radio last fall, the NWR is now processing pure bitumen, they have been making low sulfur diesel for a couple years now. Any way, last fall the up graders news letter (we get them in the mail) stated that they are now using carbon capture to store Co2 in a field to the South, there's something to do with the government sponsored "trunk line". Not really sure but none the less, AB oil is lower carbon than a lot of countries.
