I’ve never understood why the left insists on telling everyone of their sexual nature, whether gay, transgender, bisexual or whatever. Perhaps I’m old enough to recall when things of a sexual nature were considered to belong in the realm of privacy. Common decency dictated that you didn’t discuss such things in mixed company, and certainly everyone was better off keeping such things private. Common decency. Respect for others. Well, I was taught to “respect the rights of others” whether I agreed with them or not. That meant, treat them civilly anyway. Why would I want to know if someone was gay, transgender, etc.? When I was very young, and first heard of such things, and what it meant in actual practice, I mean, what people do, being the straight laced little innocent I was, it made me nauseous. Why would anyone want to DO that? The immediate response was to lose respect for the person. And then I had to deliberately with difficulty respect their rights and treat them civilly, same as any other person. But, I wanted to physically distance myself from them, because they did things that would make me puke. I was 19 and already married when I learned about people being gay.
Now, such things are thrust upon younger and younger children. No wonder ther is such confusion about sexual matters, and reluctance. I personally think many of the young are so reluctant, they are willing to call themselves non-binary, and say and do anything to avoid the issue. Some deliberately make themselves unattractive with piercings and tattoos.
Whar a disaster for our society that romance is dead, love is distorted to mean sexual relations, and if you don’t proclaim what your sexual feelings are, it is assumed, and you are labeled without your consent and against your will.
This is a direct result of twisted values, and critical Social theory pushed by the left and no one escapes the sexual scrutiny.
I fear for the generations growing up with this crap everyday while too young to understand what is happening to them. I fear for the children who never really are allowed to be children.
Where did the respect for the rights of others go? Where did common decency go? Where did a right to privacy go?
