But if by chance you could eliminate either the other would also be eliminated. But it’s of just a little note that so would all LIFE be eliminated – exterminated!
Ideas that Hierarchies or Value Systems or both could actually be eliminated goes an infinite amount farther than even George Orwell could imagine in his dystopia writings. It’s NIHILISM personified.
Not being sure if I’m explaining this at all correctly I’ll try it this way. If you don’t have a Value System there’s no reason to go to work tomorrow, buy a house, or anything else as they’d have no value to you or anyone else. Oh, you’d have Equality alright, well you could have the perception of Equality is more like it. All that would happen is (in the words I heard somewhere): It’s just that some people would be more Equal than others. Value Systems, Hierarchies & therefore Inequality are intrinsic (mandatory) to Life itself.
Given that Postmodernism is Marxist at its core & even if it’s stipulated that Marxism wasn’t properly implemented in the Soviet Union & Maoist China – does it seem reasonable to hand over the very same unstable Marxist Ideology to someone (anyone) for them to give it yet another try. The same Marxist Ideology has been tried all round the world with the exact same catastrophic results.
OK, try this then. Does it sound reasonable to hand free Nuclear Bombs to people on the streets in Seattle, Minneapolis & Chicago etc. Adoption of Postmodernism is the equivalent of handing out free Nuclear Bombs. If we’re to believe that handing those bombs out on the streets because they’ll be handled properly by all means go right ahead and adopt Postmodernism.
I’m trying to remember exactly what Thomas Sowell said as it was extremely relevant here. If I’ve got it right he said that: Socialism is a great idea; just not in reality.
