The sheer number of screeching idjits crying about how the likes of Colin Kaepernick is "TAKING A KNEE TO PROTEST TEH POLEECE BROOTALITEES AND TEH SYSTEMIC RACISMMMM!!!" in the comments section here proves the point that Mr. Owens is making rather well, I think. Then again, he did publish a conservative leaning viewpoint in Newsweek, which is to be expected.
It can be said by now that I agree with Mr. Owens in regards to how dissenting voices are silenced by the fake outrage mob, because they're attempting to force that now from him. I suspect he won't budge, though. I also firmly believe that Colin Kaepernick is a shit footballer who jumped on the social justice bandwagon because he had one strategy--run in a straight line really fast--and was upset that everybody in the NFL figured out how to counter it in no time flat. He had to stay relevant somehow, so...I hope he's happy where he is now, or are leftists capable of happiness at all? I don't think so.

Politics and personal viewpoints should be left out of ALL sports, basically because there is no place for it. The only thing accomplished is to ruin the sport aspect, now it's just a cheering section for a political viewpoint first and foremost - and any exceptional skill or abilities comes in second. Quite frankly, if politics or personal viewpoints are allowed to be displayed, then it ceases to be a "Professional" anything. Maybe it should be called "Petty Football" since any professionalism has been lost all the way to the very top.
