I'm a dyke in my early 50's that had a front row seat in San Francisco during the late 90's and early 00's when the whole F2M trans explosion happened in the lesbian community and sent shockwaves and riffs through our whole community. Everything changed at this point. It was the beginning of the beginning of something that has morphed into something else entirely that has shredded the old school lesbian world from what it once was. I've since moved back to the East coast (2002) and just watched it all unfold, although having some kerfluffles along the way. I don't and haven't associated anymore with what the "LGBT" has transformed into in the last decade or so. Yet, I'm not a TERF or a 3rd wave feminist. Consider me a Camille Paglia, equality of opportunity, equity feminist. But the whole G&L world has turned upside down on it's head and sold it's soul from where we were 20 years ago. And yes, I'm old enough to remember the days when it was just "G&L" before the B and T's were added. Plus, I was just a wee baby dyke who cut my teeth during the tragic heyday of the AIDS crisis.
Hopefully I'll make Level 2 here soon. ? I'm kind of a technotard, but just wanted to say kudos to you.

My heart goes out to every one of us facing some kind of sense of being different and not mainstream. That means everyone. Yup. You are not all that special if you are among the few percent of LGBTQ whatever, and none of us get to cancel the rights of the majority for our own special benefit. Prayers for all the broken, disenfranchised, lonely, brokenhearted.... All of us. Straight, gay, religious, not religious, woman, man, whatever...even Democrats.

I am a 55 year old butch lesbian. I have been trying to figure out how to reach these young butch lesbians who are being sucked into the delusional trans, NB, queer cult. Which is separate from transsexuals. I am an introvert not very tech savvy. But I am an older lesbian and can and am willing to help these young butchs be ok with who they are. You are great but you are not butch. If you could help me help them I would appreciate it very much. I would have loved to have had an older butch I could have talked to when I was younger. Now that I am an older butch I am willing to do this for younger lesbian, butch or not.
