On the subject of female-born detransitioners and whether girls expressing a desire for medical transition receive inadequate analysis and vetting (or any at all), a British court just handed down a judgment deciding that people under 16 are not capable of giving informed consent for receiving puberty blockers and cross-sex hormone treatment. Like most legal decisions, it starts out as fairly gnarly reading, but once the text setting the legal parameters of the decision are out of the way, the Court delineates its reasoning quite clearly.

Some main points: There isn't a body of literature on the effectiveness and safety of puberty blockers, especially as regards their effect on aspects of development other than sex characteristics. There are contradictory statements on whether the purpose is to pause puberty for a time of self-reflection or to lessen physical developments that would have to be undone if the individual proceeds to full transition. As regards the pause for reflection, the Court noted that well over 90% of those who go on puberty blockers proceed to hormone treatment.

The 38-page decision is here:
