My response to your Twitter post
"Trump supporters don’t unfriend people for voting for Biden.
Biden supporters unfriend people for voting for Trump.
Who are the bigots, again?"
has been getting me so much hate from other Democrats of other people on the the left. I responded...
I voted for Biden and did not Block or Unfriend anyone for being conservative or voting for Trump. TBH I know a ton of LGB that has gone conservative secretly because the far left went crazy. A bunch of my lesbian friends left the left after the pronoun ritual at the HRC event.
That pissed off my fellow Democrats. My personal feeling is we need to examine all the reasons why people are not trusting Democrats. For some LGB the pronouns ritual at the HRC Town Hall was a last straw. For some of my Ex Democrat friends that HRC event was a Democrat only event... Their knee jerk reaction was the Trump campaign refused to participate then discovered Trump and Libertarian candidates were not invited to the HRC Town Hall. For many of us that isn't a surprise but for others they wanted to hear from ALL of the possible candidates and only inviting Democrats was another way of taking us for granted as if we are ONLY Democrats. We only received pandering and not policy.. and we want policy. The pandering without policy is hurting Democrats. TBH LGBT fall under all parts of the political spectrum (except for non-binary or Queers who are far left only).
Democrats and other liberals need to call out far left abuse of LGBT... in particular far left homophobia and transsexual-phobia. TBH the greatest amount of homophobia, sexism, and transphobia comes from the left and not the right. The right isn't perfect and sexism, homophobia, and transphobia still exists... but they are not the ones taking LGBT for granted or have the expectation we believe they are on our side. Libertarians tend to have the least amount of homophobia, transphobia, and sexism. Democrats are not addressing any of the current issues they are ignoring and pandering. If I was voting purely on LGBT issues I would have voted Libertarian if I am honest.
Individuals were upset because I am not dumping conservative friends. I had to point out Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg best friend in the Supreme court was Antonin Scalia. Are you going to tell me Ruth Bader Ginsburg was stupid? Harvey Milk debated Republicans. On policies regarding the economy Harvey Milk was a conservative. His initial reason for running for office was the high taxes for small businesses in San Francisco... that is an extremely conservative reason to run for office... should I now hate Harvey Milk because he was a Republican until he ran for office in San Francisco.
Current discourse is crazy to me.

I've noticed some really unsettling traits in the more extreme left leaning demographic. I've heard a lot of racist, homophobic, and bigoted language and violence directed at the very groups I thought they were supposed to be representing. It's confusing and disturbing to say the least.
It's been interesting to watch the conservative stance on homosexuality shift as well. More conservatives are not only tolerant of certain groups, many are very supportive. Which I find to be a move in a positive direction. Of course that doesn't mean all are that accepting (like you said), still I would like to see the movement grow. I'm a right leaning supporter. Much like race, I don't view LGBT rights and issues as a one party only subject.
I personally would never cut any of my family or friends off just because of their political views. I did have a family member cut out all Trump supporting friends and family off on social media. I'm also careful around certain subjects with my more extreme left leaning family members. It would be nice if the political climate took it down a degree or two.
