There's a video on YouTube called
Detransitioning: Reversing a gender transition - BBC Newsnight
It's about 30 minutes long. There are brief interviews with several people who detransitioned. More than one person said they believed they transitioned in the first place to deal with negative experiences related to being female, sexual harassment, or abuse. One person runs a support for detransitioners. Medical professionals think the overwhelming majority of people who detransition were patients who really needed more therapy, saying what they need (therapy) is perhaps not what they want (transition).
I think you'll find it interesting and it supports your viewpoint on thr overwhelming increase of females identifying as transgender.
Thanks for creating this page!
Its also worth noting the GIDS stats for the UK are public.
There has been a crazy swing with AFABs.
Interested to see what the GRA consultation comes back with tbh.
I don't think detransitioners are the be all and I hate them being used against trans people. But it worries me they seem to fall out of the services perferals - that concerns me.
