Kids No Longer Allowed To Transition in the UK
It's inevitable that, as being trans becomes more visible and trendy, many people who will not benefit from it will transition. This is a good and rational decision by the court here. Children are not able to make permanent decisions such as entering into a lifetime of these experimental "transition" treatments. It shouldn't be an option for children...ever. Hopefully this is the way things are headed as far as legal decisions regarding trans kids, but I doubt it.
Puberty is no picnic. Lots of akward stages for both boys and girls. However, I think it's an important part of mental as well as physical development. So, transitioning before this natural phase has happened, I think is very damaging.
I read a couple articles avocating a childs need to medically transition before puberty because it's harder afterwards. I haven't found any concrete proof that's the case. It seems to stem from more of a mental acclimation to a childs "true sex", rather than physical harm being more or less damaging based on age. In fact I've read more articles saying the opposite, that it's more harmful on children.
Of course there are the extremely rare cases where a child is born with two sexes. I also think there could be a case made for allowing a child to either transition or stay the way they are, instead of transitioning them at birth.
What I don't understand is how doctors can transition children so easily, as well as why parents would agree to allow it.
Posted by fthemediaI noticed with people who want to be the opposite sex as a trend or way of escape are mostly young girls aged 13-16, gay women with internalized homophobia, gay men with internalized homophobia, ...
Posted by fthemediaIs is horrible and sad that we live in a day and age where mental disorders are trendy and being a majority is demonized by the far left.
