I'm a trans man, here to say that I agree with everything in this video. Some of the language I use might be slightly different, but Arielle's ideas are in alignment with mine on this one.

If I showed you a picture of me, back when I looked like a girl and you found it attractive... that has nothing to do with my identity. It's a photograph, completely visual. Attraction is all about perception. If you see that photo and perceive that it is a butch chick, then you're attracted to a butch chick.

In the hypothetical scenario of a lesbian relationship where one party transitions to male... I think the identities of those people involved are none of my business. They can identify however works for them. Just because it doesn't make sense to me doesn't mean it's wrong. There's a lot of stuff in this world that I don't understand after all.

I personally wouldn't want to be in a relationship with a woman who identified as a lesbian because I'm not a woman. But I also doubt any lesbian would want to be with me anyway, as I'm on testosterone and I look like a dude.

We live in very strange times indeed. I was very hot for Xena back when the show was on the air and I'm a very straight man. What I say when people tell me there is no objective truth, it's all subjective, is: Is that an objective truth?

I don't care what anyone else believes about themselves. It's none of my business and they can believe they're a tree. I object when they tell me it's their business to tell ME what I can say or do because it might be 'offensive'. If you choose to be offended, you can find offense in anything.

You're an all right in my book, Arielle. Be who you want to be and keep trying to get sense to prevail. It's an ever increasing uphill battle. You and I might not (I'm sure we don't, lol) agree on most, or even some, points, but neither of us are out there trying to force others to change their ways for our comfort.
