Why is the bible sometimes so hard to understand, especially when it comes to the end times?

Key points to understand:

  1. The bible was written both to reveal truth and to conceal truth. Among other things, it was written to be confusing.
  2. It is meant to be understood only by those who search it out in faith.

Thankfully, there is a key to understanding the scriptures, and that is to rightly divide the word of truth. In the bible are written many passages which are similar but not identical. The key is to look at the differences between these similarities, for there you will find a "Remez" or a hint of something deeper.

For example, you have people who follow the mid-trib, pre-wrath, post trib, post-millennial, amillennial or even the "pan-millennial" positions who use verses that on closer scrutiny contradict each other. Why do some hold the Rapture and Second Coming to be the same event when it does not make biblical sense, as it overlooks so much scripture that talk about both events differently?

But why doesn't God have a little section of Theology in the bible that says "the right position to take is..." and then He delineates the correct position?

The reason why it is confusing is because it was written to be confusing. Jesus spoke so as to be confusing, to conceal the truth from those who consider themselves prudent and wise and choose not to be bothered by the "irrelevant" parts of scripture (Luke 10:21). The bible was written in parables, in code. If you read a coded message intended for someone else, you'd find it confusing, and it won't make any sense. That's because you're supposed (as an illustration) to read not every word but every seventh word. Sometimes codes are binary and sometimes codes come in other ways.

Now the bible has its own beautiful code, with its unique usage of words and phrases, but this code is intended to be "cracked" and intended to be discovered and understood, with the understanding that truths are hidden all over the scripture, which needs to be humbly and reverently sought out. And it is fun and very satisfying to seek out God's truth, because He rewards the diligent. As an example, we read in Proverbs 25:2 "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." Now the question is, are you a king? How does "kings" in this passage relate to you? You search in other parts of scripture and you find that there are only three people who are described (in order of appearance) as both priest and king: Melchizedek, the Lord Jesus Himself, and the disciple of Christ. That's YOU. It is an honor for YOU to search out a matter.

1 Corinthians 2:7
"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:"

So God has hidden His wisdom and wrapped it up in a mystery, and He has parceled out His truth to people who believe His word, to people who have His Spirit, TO PEOPLE WHO WILL KEEP HIS MYSTERIES CONCEALED FROM PEOPLE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE, just as Paul questioned the legality of his sharing his out-of-body experience (2Cor 12:4) even with other believers. One of my takeaways in all of this is a better understanding of Matthew 13:19

"When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side."

It is indeed a very serious matter that we try to understand God's truth, to humbly and reverently seek understanding, to bear no erroneous assumptions, and believe no "innocent" false doctrine such as amillennialism or replacement theology, as it puts us in danger of losing even the unappreciated, "confusing" word that was planted in us.

I have little exercise that I want you to do. Knowing now with absolute certainty that God wraps His wisdom and truth in a mystery, and that He speaks in parables, I want you to give the 13th chapter of Matthew a more intent study. Do a review if you have to, and then write down your new takeaway or takeaways on the margins of the page. Happy hunting!

Then you can check out this video by Dr. Chuck Missler (the only theologian I know who had an I.Q. of 160; he went home in 2018) "Hidden Treasures In The Bible".

The code is cracked this way: John 3:16 is the gospel. Everything else is a psyop. The Great Tribulation is a big fat lie, because it is something other than Christ and him crucified. There is no second coming. All prophecy is fulfilled in 70 AD. Nightmare Eschatology is condemnation from the accuser. Rightly dividing is cherry picking.

You have a problem explaining your timeline since John wrote Revelation in 90AD in Patmos, a full two decades after 70AD. Also, maybe God should have sent us John 3:16 in a card since as you say everything else is psyops.
