If CofO received Federal funding - as many universities do - then I'd have to concur that the Federal government has the right to set restrictions on what the college can do....but CofO has a completely private endowment. They don't even accept Fannie Mae student loans. (1)

CofO is - for all intents - a private, non-profit, Christian educational organization. So why are they being required to adhere to Federal guidelines regarding gender inclusion? What happened to "mah private business" that gets thrown in the face of conservatives every time they're discriminated against?

Furthermore - and let's be candid here - why would a transgender student WANT to go to CofO? Seriously. Go check out their organizational values and beliefs and ask yourself why a transgender student would want to earn a degree there. Literally the only thing I can think of is the desire to be "discriminated against" and sue the college out of sheer spite that they aren't catering to woke narratives.

This to me is no different than gay couples suing the Catholic church for the right to be married, just because they can do so. Or the LGBTQ+ community boycotting Chick-Fil-A and demanding municipal authorities deny them business permits, all because the founder said once in an interview that has nothing against gay people at all, but that as a man of faith, he believes marriage is between a man and a woman. Oh and - shocker - he used to donate to Christian charities. But that doesn't cater to or promote the LGBTQ+ agenda, so he must be punished and driven out of business.

And to that, I can only say that tolerance is a two-way street. They tolerate you and you tolerate them, even though you have fundamental disagreements. Tolerance is NOT: you force them to change to cater to you because you don't like what they believe. That's like transwoman Jessica Yaniv suing multiple beauticians for refusing to wax Yaniv's twig and two berries under the argument, "you wax women's private parts and I am a woman." Yaniv didn't actually want to have her sack waxed, she just wanted a lawsuit to punish these businesses, and she got one.

And then transpeople openly wonder why people push back so hard against them. You CANNOT demand tolerance while offering none in return!

(1) The don't charge students financial tuition, but instead expect students to work for the college 15+ hours a week in exchange for classes and optionally, room & board.
