Happy to announce that after almost a year of development, Dave Rubin finally announced his online platform for creators - a mix of Patreon + YouTube + Facebook (with Twitter in the works). It's called Locals.com ... see [locals.com]
I'm one of the partners / investors who worked on the business model and helped build the tech. I got involved with Locals.com because our collective ability to say truthful things is being threatened by the progressive Left... and I have the background that's well-suited to help. I'll go live with my personal foundation website and overall mission / strategy later.
At Locals.com, we are creating a platform where creators, especially those who are at risk of being deplatfomed on mainstream social network sites, can have full ownership and control of their community.

I'm a fan of Dave Rubin. However, I stopped the process when I was prompted for how much money I make. Anyone able to clarify the purpose of this?

Ah this might be an onboarding question added recently for prospective creators as they're trying to prioritize development efforts. You can skip it. They're going to update the signups outfits like prices in next few weeks.
Can I make a independent account without creating a community?

Yes, if you signup at [rubinreport.com] and create an account, you'll be pre-registered when locals.com rolls out the member platform.
