What would you suggest Donald Trump do to have a positive resolution to the BLM/Defund Police/ANTIFA protests? What would a positive resolution look like? What would be your demands?

Trump should...

It might be for the best to take the Fabian approach and just wait. It's hard to expel all the pus from a boil until it festers up into a head that needs lancing. He's going to be damned if he intervenes and damned if he doesn't by all those people who desperately wait for somebody to do something before their cities are allowed by their elected governments to burn down around them. The hatred for President Trump is so deep that those Democrat governors and mayors are likely to cut off their own noses to spite him. So should he wait until he's asked to help them? or send in troops and be accused of precipitating a civil war? There is a part of me that says "Those poor bastards are in deep trouble but they elected the worthless leaders who allowed this to get this far." There are and must be consequences for errors of judgment. You can't keep electing vipers to positions of leadership and not expect to get snake bitten.

I don't know if there is a way for an accepted positive resolution. We've been balkanized by the likes of the last four presidents and no outcome will please everyone. The only positive thing I could foresee would be if more and more people clearly see and admit that diversity and multiculturalism as it has been foisted on the American people has only weakened the national character and the war on poverty begun in Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society years has failed to do anything but perpetuate itself and the poverty if claimed to fight.

I would not demand anything of anyone in elected office, I can request and choose with my vote. In my opinion Mr. Trump, because of his extreme narcissism, is incapable of bringing the country together.
He has no idea of what the office of President of the United States of America is. He is inept and completely unable to understand what is required of him. He is not to blame for the divisiveness in our country, his election is a symptom of it.

The murder of George Floyd deserved peaceful demonstration, it was outrageous. Demonstrations, even if valid, can eventually end up working against the cause and start stirring up opposition. There comes a time to put away the signs and get to work accomplishing instead of complaining.

Funny how you make outrageous claims without any example to back it up,,, maybe people need to change the way they are thinking and /or are communicating about what they think.

@Callnote Suggesting we ingest or inject disinfectant to counter corona virus. Suggesting beaming ultra-violet light inside people. Putting a moat by the wall filled with alligators an snakes. (he said he was being sarcastic after his handlers got hold of him.) He's a f....n moron”, Rex Tillerson. He needs pictures with his briefings or he loses interest in them.

It may be that President Trump does not know what the office of the President is supposed to be by, shall we call it "traditional standards" that get massaged into the character of career politicians by wallowing in the mire of DC for years on end. If he was expected to take on the characteristic behavior of predecessors like George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama, I personally am very pleased to see him act in a decidedly non presidential manner. Those four predecessors eroded more American wealth and productivity in the name of Globalism and turned China into the toxic powerhouse it is today.

Give them enough rope, and they’ll gang themselves. Let Seattle lie in the bed they made. My hope and prayer us that voting Democrats will decide that this isn’t what they signed up for.

There is no ‘avoiding the media.’ The President would have to enroll the media into being fair. Fairness is still not in the media’s interest.

The media hates TRUMP and WILL NOT support anything HE does!!!
Obama proposed programs that TRUMP tried to implement, all of a sudden were BAD, per the media!!!!

Crush Chaz now.

Facci Level 7 June 12, 2020

Chaz is Democrat controlled Seattle’s problem.
It is a perfect example of how not to do things and many lessons are being learnt.
Leave Chaz to run its course... it is doing the left tremendous damage.

@Hanno No it's not. I has declared independence from America. It is the U.S. border and there are Americans in there that need to be liberated.

@Facci
Ok, you are and American and I am not so I will say that you know more about this than me and therefore more likely to be right.
My apologies.

@Hanno have you ever noticed in life that there are never any hard boundaries. Whenever it seems someone as crossed the line there is never the consequence you would fear if you had sone it yourself?

@Facci
Yes, all the time. But that is because I was brought up to be very obedient and law abiding and for me there were always severe consequences.
Something I had to adapt to when I had children not to be too strict and allow more freedoms.
My children are still extremely obedient, even now as adults.
Now I am trying to teach them (Especially the younger ones) not to conform and think for themselves.

Let it collapse and turn into a crap hole.

I think he should create an accountability act for all police, all must wear cameras with audio recording that can not be shut off and also have a media accountability act drawn up to hold them accountable because "The pen is mightier than the sword", and they have been pouring fuel on this fire and the Covid fire constantly which has led to this craziness in the first place.

Quarantine. Let them have the experiment and offer whatever help he can to governors who want it. Diversity of ideas needs the chance to succeed or fail. And absolutely no money to help the govs or mayors who refuse help or to stop looting and burning. States have rights, Trump should not trample those rights (especially by giving them money.)

The States were intended from the start to be each its own republic. If some want representative socialism, well, let them run the experiment. Still, we need a way to prevent people moving State to State and bringing their politics with them only to transform the politi of their new hosts...at least for some period.

@govols This experiment has been tried so many times.
People die, lives are ruined.
The left exploits the ignorance, naïveté and idealism of youth and the disenfranchised for their own evil agenda.
It simply doesn’t work

@David42 , I know but they won't be satisfied til the killing is done. Might as well try to keep it isolated.

@govols I didn't believe in walls when Trump was elected. I'm a HUGE fan now, I want walls in lots of places now.

Trump needs to hit them with the Truth... let the facts speak for themselves.
Call out BLM and Antifa for what they actually are.
Shine a light on the deep dark recesses they crawled from.

When will it end? Probably when people stop resisting arrest.

Let the left cannibalize themselves.
The decent people need to get out of leftist cities for their own safety and sanity

I don't think anything he does will result in a positive outcome because the looters/rioters are against everything he does. I don;t believe meeting their demand to de- the police will result in any positive outcome for anybody. Then again, acting boldly won't end well either.

0

There are no concessions Trump can usefully make as there is no compromise with activists. They will always...always...come back for more. This is getting to a serous amount of escalation. Any more and protesters are going to be marching on state capitols to seize control.

Trump can talk about how government programs destroyed black families (most are single-parent now) and how that brought them into outsize contact with the police, in turn leading to jaded police attitude towards blacks.

He can talk about the way policing in the US has turned authoritarian and propose reforms, starting with reform or repeal of "no knock" warrants and asset forfeiture laws.

Inaction on the part of authorities in the face of valid compliant is a component of what's going on. Only a component, however. Lack of consequences for violent protest is another.

0

Much would depend on what you define as a "positive resolution".... 🙂

The problem here is there is no negotiation. Activists want what they want and want it now. A lot of it boils down to wanting power. And if given it, if given anything, they will simply come back wanting more. It's like hoping Hitler will be happy with just conquering all the parts of Europe that speak the German language.

Trump can however point to obvious issues with policing in the US. It's often authoritarian. He can target the bigger perverse incentives for bad police behavior such as "no knock" warrants and Asset Forfeiture laws.

He can also point out government's culpability in that government programs have destroyed the black family unit and with it much of the stake blacks have in law and order. Blacks as a result commit an outsize number of crimes for their numbers and come into outsize contact with Police. it's only natural for even good cops to become jaded and jump to the assumption that if there's a black male kid involved, he's the likely suspect because that how it happened a number of times in the past.

He can also talk about how the emphasis on having a "victim mentality" empowers activist leaders and impoverishes the rank and file. The first thing many a success story begins with are the words "I decided to stop being a victim."

Something else, comment below.

A President of a Federation (not a Monopoly of Power Nation State: were the people are considered hereditary property) ought to encourage a return to rule of law in each independent county in each independent state.

Every single accusation of a crime perpetrated by someone posing as the government, such as a Corporate Enforcement Officer (NGO in reality, wearing a fake badge no different than WallMart Security) who may be "standing down" while rioters riot (nonfeasance, malfeasance, misfeasance, misprision of justice, misprision of felony, misprision of treason, or just plain old treason) ought to be processed according to the (common) law.

That means a witness witnessing the crime contacts a member of the grand jury pool (a common law magistrate) and the independent member of the independent grand jury then forms a grand jury that commands all legal jurisdiction in the county (civil and criminal) to use lawful power (subpoena for example) to validate the accusation (here is a video of the "police standing down" ), and then offer the offender a day in court before The People in a Trial by Jury.

If it turns out that the "police" who were ordered to "stand down" were not lawful police, instead they were no different than WallMart Security, then the crime of failure to act when action was warranted is lesser, not greater, because the "police" are not lawful officers of the law: such as a duly elected County Sheriff. But, the failure to act when action is warranted (and action is possible) is still a crime according to reason, logic, morality, and historical precedent. Juries (The People) historically consider failure to act when action is warranted, reasonable, logical, moral, and JUSTIFIED.

If someone is going to claim otherwise, and their claim is backed up by the lack of Public Trial Transcripts involving such cases, then someone is going to prove a point worth knowing: There has been no law in America since 1789.

"Congress have as much constitutional right to give over all the functions of the United States government into the hands of the state legislatures, to be exercised within each state in such manner as the legislature of such state shall please to exercise them, as they have to thus give up to these legislatures the selection of juries for the courts of the United States.
There has, probably, never been a legal jury, nor a legal trial by jury, in a single court of the United States, since the adoption of the constitution.
"These facts show how much reliance can be placed in written constitutions, to control the action of the government, and preserve the liberties of the people.
"If the real trial by jury had been preserved in the courts of the United States—that is, if we had had legal juries, and the jurors had known their rights—it is hardly probable that one tenth of the past legislation of Congress would ever have been enacted, or, at least, that, if enacted, it could have been enforced."
Lysander Spooner, Essay on Trial by Jury, 1852

Robert Yates, Brutus I, October 18, 1787:
"The judicial power of the United States is to be vested in a supreme court, and in such inferior courts as Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The powers of these courts are very extensive; their jurisdiction comprehends all civil causes, except such as arise between citizens of the same state; and it extends to all cases in law and equity arising under the constitution. One inferior court must be established, I presume, in each state at least, with the necessary executive officers appendant thereto. It is easy to see, that in the common course of things, these courts will eclipse the dignity, and take away from the respectability, of the state courts. These courts will be, in themselves, totally independent of the states, deriving their authority from the United States, and receiving from them fixed salaries; and in the course of human events it is to be expected, that they will swallow up all the powers of the courts in the respective states."

George Mason, 1787
"The judiciary of the United States is so constructed and extended, as to absorb and destroy the judiciaries of the several states; thereby rendering laws as tedious, intricate, and expensive, and justice as unattainable by a great part of the community, as in England; and enabling the rich to oppress and ruin the poor."

Englishman’s Right: A Dialogue between a Barrister at Law and a Juryman, John Hawles, 1763
"Pilate was not innocent because he washed his hands, and said, He would have nothing to do with the blood of that just one. There are faults of omission as well as commission. When you are legally called to try such a cause, if you shall shuffle out yourself, and thereby persons perhaps less conscientious happen to be made use of, and so a villain escapes justice, or an innocent man is ruined, by a prepossessed or negligent verdict; can you think yourself in such a case wholly blameless? Qui non prohibet cum potest, jubet: That man abets an evil, who prevents it not, when it is in his power. Nec caret scrupulo sosietatis occultae qui evidenter facinori definit obviare: nor can he escape the suspicion of being a secret accomplice, who evidently declines the prevention of an atrocious crime."

Say a lot......do nothing. Let the Blue cities and States burn. They deserve what they've sown. Maybe then they will become "woke". Maybe they will forget feeling good about stupid issues and stances. Reality is a harsh teacher. The lesson comes after the test.

It would be nice if this issue could be resolved on some patch of common ground, but the fact that the issue exists all suggests that the notion of common ground has been abandoned, at least by the left. As always, their contribution to the conversation is to lie, attack, insult and smear all who take any position counter to theirs, while it is the Republicans who once again occupy themselves with hand-wringing and senseless babble about measured responses

I hate to resort to Kamala Harris for an appropriate quote, but it really isn’t so surprising: she’s a member of the war party. The fact that it’s America they’re at war with is incidental. “You don’t ask permission to lead. You just lead.”

The people of the country will judge indecision in the face of a crisis harshly. Trump’s reputation was based on “getting it done.” So, Donald: Get ‘er done.

OUTLAW WELFARE, LEGALIZE DRUGS!!!!!!!!!!
Let's get back to "you don't work you don't eat", that is how this nation was started and it worked for about 120 years!!!
If you are working, you don't have time to RIOT!!!!
Ya, I know, there were riots during that time, but you couldn't make a living rioting, eventually you had to get back to work!!!!!

I propose that a group of me and my friends take over the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Shitloads of guns and hookers. We will become Master Pimps. The entire Las Vegas strip will become my territory. It will be know as RAZE. I have vision.

What is happening in Seattle is a like a hood-rat version of 'Dog Day Afternoon' - They are demanding things like Gatorade and cigarettes. You can't get any dumber than these people are and their demands should not be met. They should be wiped out with a swiftness.

BLM is an anti-white hate group funded by George Soros and other millionaires. Its mission is to promote the open borders and mass third world immigration. People must understand that.

Cut off federal funding. That should get the attention of those left wing idiots.
