Shouldn't Covid-19's lethality inform the response to it?

Evidence that the virus is much less deadly than people feared weakens the case for maintaining lockdowns.

I'm in healthcare: People are getting all sorts of health problems from staying home. Decreased cortisol levels leading to provocation of inflammatory conditions, etc. Normal activity is really a key to immune health, because the innate immune system is activated by activity and sun, while the antibody system is activated during deep sleep, which is triggered by working during the day. It is sad that so many people are staying home scared thinking they are doing it for their health, when in reality they would be better off exercising, eating well, socializing, etc.

The evidence has been widely published from the beginning of our knowledge in the West, that only 1% of COVID-19 deaths are people with no identified pre-existing condition. Non-smokers who are healthy have never had anything to worry about, and the demographic at risk was always the same demographic at similar risk due to the flu and bacterial pneumonia.

If not for the fact that it was the first pass through the human population, our leadership would not have had a leg to stand on to shut down the economy. The fact that pre-existing condition risk was known from the beginning and has not changed, means this will be seen in hindsight as a colossal overreaction, driven by the American public, whipped into a frenzy by a media nearly bankrupt and needing a sensational event to stay afloat.

Yes, and they are prepping us for the next “wave” of this virus which has people sucking their thumbs in the corner already. The damage to our economy and people’s futures has been criminal. Just wait for the whole new slew of laws and regulations that will certainly follow. Well, government wants their subjects to be broke, stupid and scared so I guess they are doing their job.

The steps required to accurately identify an infectious organism were not followed, as was the case with so-called AIDS, and that was done to use an existing sickness to then seize power by fomenting fear.

If someone has evidence of a specific infectious organism then that information would be supplied. If people are so servile and stupid as to not even know if they ought to demand that information, then you get what you pay for, don't you?
