LINK A Familiar Swing

Stephanie Slade at Reason offers an insightful piece on the swing toward nationalism under populist leaders like Donald of Orange. While her goal is to show how “Individual autonomy is not the cause of our problems and state autonomy is not the solution,” there remains a need to highlight where nationalism often leads.

OK I'll take a swing and start the discussion here

If nationalism is a problem, Why are their countries? If you love your country - If you are a patriot - You are by definition a nationalist - If not you must hate your country - Logic

Look at the world, Europe - Rise of nationalism
America - Patriotism (which is national pride) - But its a group of states - so State pride would be good (confederate flag anyone)
Arab states - Religion as the state - but Still Nationalistic
Africa - Black pride = National pride.
Russians - Love Russia
Chinese Love China

... In fact nationalism is everywhere - Its not a bad thing its just being labeled bad by those who fear the return of the nation above their "Union's or united nations" But Borders are real. When there is no border and no passport, and we are all one nation. You may have a point, But for now you have completely missed it

If you prefer gender, or religion or globalism, at the cost of your patriotism - you do not love your country

The rise of the country is the rise of nationalism - And its global, Its happening, and no-one will stop it.
