Sadly, Russia and China share the majority of "Western values" these days, values of collectivism and government authoritarianism. They're merely more advanced in those values than Europe or the US. As for the traditional Western values of individual liberty and responsibility, well the urban "elites" have voted them away. The West no longer holds those values. Only a few rural "nut-jobs" still hold out.

Not like the 5 eyes would be in "CAHOOTS" with each other on the propaganda agenda!

in the context of Russia and China regarding "Western Values" I think there is more than a little merit to that idea. "The West" is now the modern day Sodom and Gomorrah. Furthermore and more to the point, up to now the culture of "the West" - especially that of the USA - has had a very real and very powerful hegemonic influence in Asia, Eastern Europe, African and Middle Eastern Nations. American Culture has shunned the moral, righteous teachings of the major Religions and has embraced the hedonistic, amoral and debauched ideologies of sexual perversion. The pursuit of physical pleasures (sexual and otherwise) has replaced aspirational spiritual perfection. The West has not merely turned away from God - It has emphatically rejected God. The West has undergone a true moral inversion. Perversion of that which is true, good, moral fact is now strongly and authoritatively encouraged. In short the very foundation of Western Culture is crumbling and can and will only lead to the collapse of the Culture itself.
Seems the Russians and the Chinese don't want that kind of inversion in their own populations and I don't blame them.

One does not need to hold a belief in a deity or the paranormal in order to be a decent well-rounded individual, and it's worth pointing out that both Russia and China have alot of non-religious citizens. Here in the west we have a culture problem. I'll take a country like ours any day over authoritarian hellholes like Russia and China, and generally speaking that anti-west sentiment is usually a progressive leftwing thing, and not surprisingly China is currently communist and Russia used to be (still is in my humble opinion). Lastly and personally speaking here, but some of the most evil and deranged people that I've known over the years identified as religious, and just because someone claims to believe in a god does not automatically make them morally sound individuals.

In rereading your comment above, to say that I merely disagree with all of that would be an understatement...

Inversion you say?? Surely you jest, because there's no way you could be serious about that let alone actually believing what you wrote? For decades in China there was a law in place that restricted families to having only one child, and a male child in particular. During those times, could you even imagine how many abortions must have taken place due to such a law? We may have abortion legalized here in the US, but we certainly don't have any restrictive laws like that limiting how many children we could have. How on Earth is something like that moral, eh? And while China may have finally eased up on that law, there are still plenty of other areas of concern where human rights are being blatantly disregarded.

Russia is no better, and to save me time in having to point out everything that's immoral in that country, I'll link to this read- [borgenproject.org]

And telling me that the US and Ukraine are evil and immoral does not absolve countries like China and Russia of their wrongs, which is the same thing I said to your buddy down below on this post, and in truth there's no shortage of evil deeds to go around. But pretending like China and Russia have some sort of valid point in claiming the moral high ground is way beyond being just a little absurd. As for me, I'll take the USA and all of her shortcomings and questionable deeds over tyrannical hellholes like China and Russia any day. I bash the Biden Admin often both on and offline, and yet I'm not threatened with prison time for engaging in such and nor do I fear sudden unexplained death. Can't say the same for a "paradise" like Russia, and I guarantee that if you openly talk trash about Putin you'll end up either in prison or dead in some back alley. So remind me again who's the moral authority there?

@SpikeTalon

Election theft/fraud is a characteristic of an authoritarian regime. Justin Trudeau is running an authoritarian regime under a coalition with Jagmeet Singh, the leader of the socialist (communist) party of Canada. Listen, I understand you have vowed to ignore me, and that is your prerogative but you have interpreted me wrong. I am not comparing systems. I am contrasting our own hypocrisy in the west with very serious issues plaguing our freedoms and futures here in the west, AND they are among the reasons Russia has split from the west. I am not saying Russia is better. I am saying we cannot lecture Russia and we cannot even contemplate going to war against Russia, with the vital problems and epic failures our own societies are undergoing.

Russia has undergone a major technological and political transition over the past 20 years, hyper-driven over the past 8 years. This includes a whole new banking system. A whole new currency valuation system and of course a whole new (multi-polar) chamber of commerce and trade system (BRICS+) that does not use the US dollar as the under-pinning trade currency. The Russian military (according to expert US/NATO analysts) has undergone a 2-level leap in technological transition in modern warfare, from soviet-era weapons/tactics, to a globally controlled, universally platformed (space, air, land and sea) based system that is able to block any attack and retaliate against any enemy under any circumstance. They are working on a defense against hi-tech US HIMARS which use silent precision satellite guidance, mostly undetectable by any army in the world. I want friendship and economic cooperation with Russia. I do not want Russia to become a vassal of the Chinese empire.

China is a disgusting human experiment called the CCP, which use every tactic of a totalitarian state to stay in power, with absolute disregard for individual rights and human dignity. Their goal is world domination under the guise of "workers unite". Did you see, a few days ago, the WEF announced that it's organization will no longer be using Twitter and they recommended everyone use China's social media platform instead? The big scandal now in Canada is Trudeau is lying about being briefed before the last election, by intelligence services, that China was funding 11 of his candidates (all were elected and 8 became cabinet ministers!!!!!)

@Sensrhim4hizvewz My point was, that if you are going to criticize the US just make sure you also offer up some criticism for countries like China and Ukraine as well.

I don't wish to ignore you as on most issues you and I agree, but I will be forced to ignore someone who thinks the carnage in Ukraine humorous of the sorts. Again, not denying there's widespread corruption in my country and yours, but there's a big difference between some political corruption and acts of genocide. In the US or Canada if you were to publicly criticize either Biden or Trudeau, chances are pretty high you won't end up dead somewhere in a back alley, let alone even landing behind bars for such criticism. I can't say the same for China or Russia, and for the most part Canada and the US have a far better track record where civil rights are concerned than the former two, despite some moral shortcomings that guys like you and I witness almost on a daily basis.

Personally, I'd much rather live in a society where say, gay marriage is permitted than living in a society where gays get murdered simply for being gay, even though I'm not in favor homosexuality. That's the price we pay for living in a freer society, as inevitably some folks will use their freedom for evil and immoral reasons. Russia and China do not offer nearly as much personal liberties as Canada and the US do, and even though progressive woke leftwing crap is becoming more mainstream we should not forget how lucky we are to live where we do. Biden and Trudeau are hardly desirable as leaders, but one day they will fall out of power which in turn will be another opportunity for the people to have their voices heard. In other words, try to stay hopeful, regardless of how bleak things may appear to be, for they could always be far worse.

As for lecturing Russia... as long as Putin and his henchmen continue on the same path as they have been for nearly a year now, I and many others will reserve the right to criticize and condemn their actions, because my country aren't the ones who are currently invading another country and committing war crimes. I'm not in favor of war, never was, but all the same I'm no pacifist either, and some people would leave you no choice but to go to war with them in order to preserve your own safety and well being. Putin sure didn't give the Ukrainians any other option but to fight against his invading forces.

As for Russia undergoing a major technological transition period... sure couldn't prove that by me, just look at the problems they are having with Ukraine? And Putin initially thought it would be easy taking over Ukraine, and he was wrong about that, and now the sissy is threatening to use high-powered weapons in order to get his way as he isn't winning in the conventional way. The US-supplied weaponry and other gear sure have been a problem for the Russian forces. If you desire to be friends with such a country, good for you, but you should know that Putin desires absolute control and isn't interested in the type of partnership as you have in mind, it's all about what's in it for Russia and how they could advance their own society.

No shocker there on the China part, another depraved country where individual rights are concerned, and also no shocker that Trudeau has/had dealings with their leaders. We're all being played for fools as per usual...

What "western values"??? FTX values? Election fraud values? Gender dysphoria values? CRT anti-white racism values? Complete disregard for fundamental rights and freedoms values? We have to talk about these so called "values" we recognize that places us above the rest because many of these values have already disintegrated.

I wish you and your family our very best wishes for the new year

You mentioned only the negatives and totally ignored the positives... such as an appreciation of free markets/trade, free expression/speech, gun rights, individualism, and supporting human rights in general to name a few. Everything has its cost, and living in a mostly free constitutional Republic means that some people will resort to criminal and other immoral deeds. China and Russia do not afford their citizens the individual liberties that the USA does, and that's why we're hated so much because authoritarian control freaks despise those that uphold individual rights.

As for the cryptocurrency scams go like FTX, guess what? Similar scams are going on right now in countries like China and Russia, only difference there is the scammers haven't been caught (yet). That doesn't mean that every crypto investment is something criminal like FTX was, and I myself have made some nice profits in crypto since 2016, back when hardly anyone yet even knew what Bitcoin was.

You said above and I quote- "Complete disregard for fundamental rights and freedoms values?" Yeah, Russia and China have been guilty of that for decades now, so that's hardly a uniquely American problem. Said values haven't disintegrated either, they've merely been suppressed to an extent, as while there are some of my fellow Americans who abhor said values there are equally many more (like me) who do not go along to get along. If you feel that it's necessary for the Government to make sure society remains "moral" like is the case in countries like Russia and China, then you'll get what you asked for, and you certainly wouldn't deserve any individual rights at that point for trusting in cruel tyrants to guide the way for you. In the end, no shortage of evil and immorality to go around, and I'm fine with you bashing my country so long as you be fair and criticize other world powers such as China and Russia too.

I return your wishes in kind, and thank you. On a side note, and hope you don't take this personally, but I'm not going to even bother reading my other recent post in which you commented on, as I already know deep down inside I cannot reason with anyone logically who thinks it funny (that laugh emoji) that civilians over in Ukraine have been and continue to get unmercifully slaughtered. Let me clue you into something... that shit over in Ukraine is very real, and some day when the conflict in that country is finally over those who were rooting for Putin's side to win will end up on the undesired side of history. A friend of mine on here who shall remain anonymous has family members over in ukraine that he hasn't heard from in a long time, among other details he could readily share, and I have zero reason to believe he is lying or exaggerating anything there. Given enough time gone by, you will see that I was right about Russia, mark my words on that, and Putin will be exposed for the lying criminal tyrant that he is. Again I say, the perceived evil deeds of one country (the USA for example) does not absolve another country (like Russia) of their wicked deeds.

@SpikeTalon
Blocking me and banning my posts (or ignoring them) is not going to change anything and it will not create dialogue and understanding. I am sorry that my posts bother you that much.

I hear what you are saying but I am not trying to pose the worst or represent the most reprehensible part of our society. I am trying to propose that we look inwards, inside our own systems filled with corruption and lies, BEFORE we stomp down other countries. I am trying to point out WHAT we are told to support against Russia...that we would NEVER support inside our own countries

  1. Ukraine (Zelensky) banned the Christian Orthodox Church
  2. Ukraine banned ALL opposition parties
  3. Zelensky changed land ownership laws in 2021 to allow for almost 44% of agricultural designated lands to be purchased by foreign corporations
  4. Over 70% of the wealth of Ukraine is held by the oligarchs who mainly live outside Ukraine
  5. Russia warned the west back in 2012 NOT to place NATO troops and weapons along Russia's borders, yet 2014, the west installed their own puppet regime in Kiev. Here we are.
  6. Zelensky has allowed the establishment of an anti-Russian NAZI organization to flourish inside Ukraine, creating a terrorist environment
  7. The Donbass and other separatist regions have been under constant attack by Ukraine forces since 2014, killing thousands of innocent civilians

My family comes from the Zaporozhye, German Mennonite Christian settlers. Nearly all of my ancestors but 3 were starved to death or shot in the 2nd Holodomor of 1931-32. These were not Russians who carried out these acts. They were foreign Jews who were funded and supported by western banks who began the Bolshevik movement in the early 20s, that murdered tens of millions of Christian Russians from 1922-1966. Zaporozhye was a HQ for these psychopaths during the 1st Holodomor of 1922-24.

Russia is not a soviet communist state and hasn't been since 1991. It is not a socialist country either. If you want to blame someone for the condition of Russia today, the blame lies directly on the western powers who allowed the corruption and establishment of the (mainly) Jewish oligarchs during Yeltsin's period in office. Putin came to power to stop this corruption that was draining Russia of resources and capital. Hundreds of billions of rubles were ending up in NY, London and Tel Aviv banks. Important you watch this video

@Sensrhim4hizvewz Who said anything about blocking or banning your posts? All I said was that if you think Ukrainian civilians getting unmercifully slaughtered is humorous I shall be forced to ignore you, as I know deep down inside the reality of that situation does not truly concern or upset you. It does upset me, war crimes/crimes against humanity are no matter to be taken lightly. Your posts don't bother me, as if they don't align with reality I will simply ignore them. Need I remind you yet again that the sources I go by are independently verifiable OSINT sources (like Bellingcat), and not opinion pieces or state propaganda sources like CNN/SouthFront/MSN/theDuran etc. If you link to any such sources I will be forced to disregard them.

It's war for Ukraine, and understandable why Zelensky took some of the actions that he did. War sucks. At least some of those points you mentioned I was not able to independently verify, and they most likely are exaggerations meant to undermine Ukraine as a whole. On the other hand, Russia sure has/had implemented some tough restrictions limiting individual rights for decades now, including religious persecution.

Communism is just as bad if not worse so than nazism is, and the Jews weren't alone on all of that. That all occured many decades ago, as horrific as all of that was (sorry to hear that happened to your family members), but Ukraine is not the same country now as it was back in those days. That was in the past... honor the memory of your ancestors and let the rest be, time to move on.

Russia may not technically be a soviet communist anymore, but that still doesn't remove the fact that it's current leader was a former KGB Colonel, and that alot of modern day Russia's ways are communistic in nature. For that matter, Canada isn't a communist country either or even socialist, but alot of the current Government's ways sure seem so though.

I'm part Jewish, and stop blaming the Jews for all of the ills in society, especially regarding the upheavels in Russia over the past three or so decades. Most of that blame falls on Putin as he's a bloodthirsty tyrant bent on controlling everyone and everything around him. His past with the KGB shaped him into the sicko he is today, no help was needed from the west on that much. Putin only cares about himself and his top brass, he doesn't really care who he has to step over in order to achieve his goals and power, as tyrants don't care about the average citizen. Again, stop blaming the Jews for everything, and let's start putting more blame on specific individuals.

@SpikeTalon

The two of us are very widely divided on how we see the world and what values we honor. I don't see Ukraine as the friend and pal you do. I see Russia as the largest continuous nationalized land mass on the planet, with untold riches and resources, with a massive NATO military force moving steadily closer and closer to their borders each year, defending their riches and resources.

You believe I don't care about Ukraine. Their government is a cesspool of hedonist corruption, however, I don't want to see people harmed at all. I want this war to end quickly and I want to see a lasting peace that allows both sides to put away their militaries and open dialogue. I don't see that happening.

I see Ukraine as a corrupted, rogue nation, used by western powers as a money laundering pawn in a proxy war against Russia. There is NO WAY Ukraine will ever defeat Russia...EVER! The only way for the USA to defeat Russia is a world war where the US empire will likely collapse from the internal strife and corruption. Have a look at Canada today and you will see what awaits the USA and other "free" nations. Canada is a shattered, broken nation with regional strife/hatreds between the different areas, on the cusp of a civil war breaking out if things continue much longer. Trudeau sees this and has enacted a sudden, massive gun ban a few weeks ago, removing thousands of models of hunting rifles from the legal registry. What's next to ban in Canada? The Christian Church because it is necessary like in Ukraine? Opposition parties like in Ukraine?
