Vladimir Putin grants full Russian citizenship to Edward Snowden

Snowden, 39, fled the United States to Russia after revealing information about extensive surveillance operations being conducted by the National Security Agency (NSA). He is now a Russian citizen by presidential decree, Reuters reported Monday.

Now that he's a citizen, I hope he's not sent out to the front.

He was granted permanent residency in 2020 and he applied for citizenship while retaining his US citizenship. Putin agreed and granted him full Russian citizenship while retaining his US citizenship, just like Jews do with their Israeli citizenships, as they live out their lives in another country

Something tells me that was a PR stunt on Putin's part given his recent unfavorability among many of his fellow countrymen.
