I think Slager makes a compelling argument there...

The Canada trucker's protest manages to deliver messaging conflicts on both sides of the issue-

With that said, the left/authoritarian side was worse, as their actions could conceivably have far longer lasting effects on everyone.

In war, you need a dictator, to coordinate command. Otherwise you will lose.

Leftists love dictatorships. No problem for them.

Conservatives hate dictatorships. A good conservative protest consists of many independent voices.

The Roman Republic was usually in Senate mode, but if they were losing a war, they appointed a dictator to win the war. Upon winning the war, Rome returned to Senate mode. The story of Cincinnatus is an example. He was appointed dictator, won the war, and resigned the dictatorship a mere 15 days after being appointed. Instead of cashing in by establishing a "Cincinnatus Foundation", he returned to his farm.

The essence of the Canadian protest was to promote individualism and oppose tyranny. The protesters protested as individuals, united under the cause of individualism. When Trudeau used dictatorial power to destroy the protest, he proved the point of the protesters.

Canada is now in the Guerrilla zone.

Let's spice this up for the history books. We could call this the "Ottawa massacre". Trudeau the butcher.
