@angelo Pelosi was telling everyone to go out to Chinatown and do some shopping at the end of March. Democrats were calling Trump a racist for shutting down flights from China. The first three months was all anti-Trump BS until they realized they could create a crisis out of this pandemic that they could take advantage of.
Really, from the death rate and the demographics that were severely affected it looked like a bad flu.

The lock-downs, wearing masks, social distancing and a hastily approved vaccine are all political or mad scientist solutions. Biden and Harris initially opposed the jab as it was a "Trump vaccine" then all of a sudden were anxious to get it and mandating everyone to get the shot. It's actually a big pharma vaccine and Fauci had the job to push them. So once the Dems "won" the election it was easy to convince them to encourage and mandate the vaccines if needed.
