House Democrats propose increasing state and local tax cap to $72,500 through 2031
The benefit may primarily flow to those earning more than $200,000, according to a Tax Foundation analysis, and those making $250,000 to $1 million may receive the biggest tax break.
Another source said this could save top 2% earners as much as $23,000 while a regular family of 4 would see a $3,200 tax increase over the next decade.
