I am a type 2 diabetic, this journy I'm on is terrible to say the least. I have had multiple ulcers on the bottoms of both feet, bones taken out of my left foot due to infection, im currently on IV antibiotics at home. I am getting injections in my right eye for diabetic changes to the tune of $6000 a piece every 6 weeks and am getting gastric bypass surgery in 2 months. Needless to say the 10 specialists I see monthly and the frequent ER visits for cellulitis. These do not even include the 10 medicines i'm on, the 174 hours of home health care at $30 an hour. All paid for by United Health Care, and the county. Multiply this by millions of Americans trying to keep there feet and eye sight. I'm so thankful for Obamacare. I'm so thankful for such ground breaking treatments. I'm still alive and still have my feet.
I was fortunate . While working in Talk radio , I met the author of "Insulin : Our Silent Killer" . He researched Type II diabetes and corrected his diabetes . He said , that if he wanted his sugar problem to return , all he had to do was go back to eating in fast food places for 3 weeks .
Right you are! Fast food got me too! Once I went on insulin I couldnt feel full, I gained 200 pounds in 2 years! Now I lost 45 but am fighting to do it against the insulin resistance. Im on a dose so high right now the hosbital is afraid to give me the dose because it would kill most people. Now im getting gastric bypass, I won't be able to eat there addictive chemical infused fat full food or I'll throw up. All paid for by United Health Care. Dr's and big pharma and fast food are all in cahoots.
@CraigCollins Yes , they are in cahoots . The hormones in fast food burgers suppress thyroid function and depresses metabolism .
